You can tell Eric looks forward to waking up and getting into the shop each and every day. The passion is unreal and the quality of his work further proves he absolutely loves what he does! This is awesome to watch
I assume Erick specd all the parts can you ask him why he’s using those cheap rods? I would love to know the reason behind that on a build such as this which is supposed to be reliability and those aren’t exactly known for that.
Literally my first thought. I've heard of a couple people who know their shit using these in there Z's but I just couldn't sleep at night cutting that corner lol
Man this is so awesome, ive been designing engine parts in my CAD course for my engineering undergrad and to see and know whats being put together physically is so cool! Thank you for documenting the process of the engine assembly!
so satisfying seeing someone like Eric building a engine who knows what they are doing watching him do it is like watching me doing the same seeing him using the old school ring compressor made me miss my dad since his set was so banged up after being used since the 50s to assemble so many engine in his years to when i started doing the same with them that i had to get new ones to replace the old set. and yeah doing a engine takes time to get everything right so they are power making monsters.
When an artist and a mechanic collide, an Erick is created. Was real satisfying watching him do his labour of love. Can’t wait to hear this motor sing!
So I recently purchased a 260z and seeing this process like this is greatly appreciated, because you did not miss a single step in this video! and really I know I will come back to this video if I need a little guidance. Sometimes it's great to watch an "evolution" occur without all the "Internet Influencer Reaction" bits. Thanks for this Dustin and Eric! This is some good-good quality stuff! I am an amateur and I am now excited to tackle my dream build!
This video was so cool Eric made it look easy and you could really tell that he loves his job it was so satisfying watching him work on this. Keep up the good work Dustin
Watching Eric build the engine was very satisfying! Sungs Z looks badass, and if your motor looks like that it will be so sweet! Tiana is one lucky woman! Vip order placed! Have fun in Houston. #VIP #madeittotheend
#MadeItToTheEnd!! The Z is turning out awesome! Can't wait to see it all back together and see what wheels you and/or Tiana pick out for it. They better be some THICC meats with those super-wide fender flares, lol.
Dude your doing it right👍🏼 taking it slow and “overbuilding” the engine continue to do that with the rest of the build to that classic beauty/beast 😌 but I am eager to see the finished product 😉
Hmmmmm one of the first episode i watched from your channel DustinW is Sending this engine to your Builder. 7 months later i've seen this engine again getting assembled. Time fly so fast it's been 7 months since i started watching your videos even though i know you already since 2019 when i watched one video of you in japan. Not a consistent supporter right? Haha but still i become a supporter of yours and treating you as one of my inspirations a i'm finishing my college degree. Keep inspiring others Dustin every one loves you. Your big fan from Philippines. ☺️ #madeittotheend
Looks awesome - can’t wait to see the next update. Can you tell us what pistons and rods you used exactly? Or the specs in general? My L28 is burning oil - so I’ve to do the same pretty soon.
Love all the content and sick builds. The Z is gonna be a killer. Keep up the good work and keep doing more. Aloha from the Big Island Hawai‘i! #madeittotheend 🤙🏽
What’s the horse power going to be if you are using racing components on the bottom end? I know generally you can get the the L28 up to 300-360hp, using a rebellious kit?
I’m not into the cars you are per say however you have vision, drive and as a Motorsports enthusiast I totally respect you also produce some insane content. I could be your dad that’s why the age difference doesn’t matter your never to young or old mad respect for you and your team. Dustin I have a great street car 2015 mustang 670/560 to the wheel if and when I could afford a GTR that’s one vehicle would be in my shop your 35 build in my opinion epic.
Watching a master craftsman work is a privilege. Big thanks to Eric for sharing his passion and expertise with us. Appreciate the behind the scenes look, Dut. #madeitotheend
Super dope video seeing how this is all done.. But I would of brought Tianna with you also so she can see the process of all this being done in person. Just sayin.

I love ITB's. Gives a nice sound and makes the throttle bodies so responsive.
I love how Erick is smiling throughout the build process
