Nice OBDII history lesson. I thought everywhere had OBDII since 1996. This is interesting, thanks!

Hi RSB Harley, the best value for money for your vehicle models would be the Vident i400AU here www.azscanners.com.au/vident-ilink400-au-scan-tool-single-make-professio

My list is a bit different, #1 does the company even answer email, or communicate with the end user? #2 does the company actively update the tool? , and #3 and this is a big one, what is the yearly update pricing?
Now that is something no dealer talks about. Some yearly update prices are are outrageous, some much better. Some have 3 years free to start, others only one.
    Choose wisely.
Xtool had the best all round package for me, for a at home tool.
Is a snap on better, you bet it is, it’s faster, has the best support, is the easiest to use, and a price that only makes sense for a busy shop, doing lots of diagnostics.

I have an xtool too. Excellent customer service. They got back to me in less than 24 hours.

chipster, Yup, fully agree with your comment. Best to do your homework before making any purchase, eg customer feedback, reviews and recommendations. Unfortunately I didn't do that!!.. Google search "bavariandominator @ the Review Centre"

Yep, beautiful Hartlepool, nestled between Teesside and Durham. I tried to tone it down, is it really that noticeable still 😂?

Good video. Lavaliere shirt mic would help, the real problem is the acoustics in the room, opening the door would also help.

They won't tell you which pins have wires connected. 2&10, 6&14, 7&15 are ISO however most scan tools will NOT have all these pins wired to the scanner 🤬
