    I like how the owner is comfortable enough with knowing they're basically driving a skip, that they don't bother to clean the interior before handing the car over to James for those lovely close up shots of copious amounts of dust, thier half empty packet of mints and the unsold items from thier recent stand at the local Car Boot. Still, it's always nice to get an insight into something i've never had any desire to sit in, so thanks for letting us see it!

      The S4 wasn't available in a manual from the middle of 2011 and they are pretty rare, you might 1 or 2 the were late reg'd on 61 plates but good look finding a clean manual of any age. I spent ages looking for one, and I don't mean car browsing I mean test driving. it's got the same problem as all small crossovers, in that they're completely pointless to me, this is at least a bit unique in a weird pointless way, but honestly a normal hatch back just makes more sense to me. As for the in-between size SUVs of which there are way too many now (Audi Q5 Honda CRV, Range Rover Evoque/Velar, Kia Sportage, the list goes on) that people buy 'because I needed more interior space' basically all of them are soundly beaten on every front by an estate car, which lets be honest if practicality is your main concern (a quality often for some reason praised for these SUVs) then the estate car is king, they're the ultimate jack of all trades cars, always have been, always will be

  • @dagnut

    This is a car bought with your partner who is adamant they need an SUV. I wouldn't matter what logic or facts you used to show it had no more space , it's higher and that's that. Exactly! Literally bought one for the wife, because all she wanted was an SUV 😂. Tried in vain to get her to do a wagon/estate instead, but wouldn't budge. The result, a 5 pot SUV as the middle ground.

    • @dagnut
      @dagnut 7 месяцев назад

      @gureno19 well depends if you can only have one car which is a very common situation. I think this offers something for both. As a previous owner of a performance version, I can honestly say I loved it, the engine note, yes stifled too much but was always addictive. My wife wanted a small SUV, I wanted a hot hatch, criteria sorted. The real issue was the new RSQ3, we had a sport back with so called “sports exhaust”, thinking no fake tail pipes, we were totally wrong plus the car is, and I can honestly say from an ex owners point of view, was the worse car I have ever owned. Boosting the power up to 400 did something to the drivability, the interior was a step back in terms of quality and feel and the overall opinion at the price was why did we and why would anyone buy one?

    I don't mind crossovers I find them very practical but would honestly prefer a lifted station wagon. A lifted Toyota Camry wagon my dream car lol
    But seriously especially the European brands all have this deisgn language they made for a sedan or such and try to force it onto their crossovers. It's doesn't work. Audi I think is the worst at this. Their crossovers just aren't compelling to look at. Not saying their ugly. Most cars aren't ugly in my opinion. But I mean.... look at this.
    I feel like brands need a deisgn langauge meant for cars amd a separate more rugged deisgn langauge for crossovers. Or something. Anyway two designs that's the main point here.
    Also I am very impressed. How absolutely cheap that interior is. Boring black plastic everywhere!

This definitely seems like a more European thing from the many RUclips videos I watch but can apply around the world. Everybody knows the car you bought is expensive but the average person just doesn't even know what it is. If you want to blend in get a top trim Golf, Camry, or CRV or something. I get we all have different tastes but I just find that interesting. Why buy a bland looking car? Granted I guess the other end of the spectrum is stuff from China where the cars are kinda outrageous sometimes cause everybody wants to stand out or something with their massive grills.
    So why not buy a happy medium?

      @@baronvonjo1929 not many car thieves are a walking car wiki....they see a Q3 from a distance and ignore it. they see a RS3, jackpot. Unless they are strolling up and down a car park looking highly suspicious, they wont go for a Q3. If you cant understand that, well then.....
