If you love what you are doing for work it's not work it's a pleasure I am a car motor builder and Harley motor bilder and I love doing both and being a machineist I love horse power and Bill loves building guns and I want to get one of his 1911 in 9mm and stainless got to save for it I hope I make it ❤️ 😀.
The story of Wilson Combat really reminds me of the the way RCBS started with Vernon Speer and Fred Huntington. I started reloading in 1979 and in the RCBS manuals the history of that company is explained, I must have read and reread it a dozen times. .... Thank you Bill and Ken... and Vernon and Fred
With trying to step into the future and keep up with today's market, don't ever forget your past. The 1911 is what you cut your teeth on in this game and it should remain priority number one. To let quality or dedication slip away from the 1911 in favor of a 320 or a glock, or even an AR would be tragedy in and of itself. Love the videos! Keep it up!
I get a Wilson Combat 1911 tomorrow. The first WC in my collection. I have never been so excited about a pistol in particular. It seems I ordered it 5 years ago, I cant wait to have it.
Yeah, he strikes me as a kind of guy who doesn't lay all of his cards out on the table at once. He seems like a guy who opens up a little at a time with jewels of knowledge here and there.
I had the opportunity to see and handle 2 Wilson Combat pistols in local gun stores, I have never fired them but I could immediately see, feel and admire the engineering and machining of these handguns, it is my desire to one day acquire one. They are excellent. 🇺🇸👍
I remember throughout the 90s reading all the magazines, realizing that Wilson Combat was at the forefront of pushing the overall 1911 industry to greater heights of manufacturing and reliability.
Once in a lifetime,we all have seen you grow, and in the best ways possible! You have shown many of us in that if you like what you do,than you and your product or labor will shine thru! Everyone that has an item you sell,we know you are a big part of that item, and we can count on the fact that any weapon you create will be Wilson Perfection,a true American 🇺🇸 from the get go😊
Amazing to find out your Origins Mr.Bill Wilson, and how you founded Wilson Combat. Thank you for sharing with us. It truly is an American story too. I know where i'm ordering my next gun from......afterall Wilson Combat can you get any more American! Rather be happy and broke working on guns than making money at a job you arent happy in. Glad it all worked out so well you deserve all the success. Also the fact that you cared so much that you wanted to make reliable guns and get them shipped out fast thats a buisness model for the gun industry that all should embrace its a shame so few do, but it is that which sets you apart from your competition. No motel 6 and McDonalds for you at this point. this made me sad I own a glock not a wilson combat pistol, and that is a first for me.
Fabulous customer service and an amazing firearm! My main one has over 30,000 rounds and it’s still as reliable as it’s first day three years ago... amazing gun!
Got my first Wilson gun in 1987 I believe. An LE built on a 80 series colt. All metalloy. I’ve had at least one ever since. Have several now in various calibers. Compete with them and carry one every day. If you are going to trust your life to something, cost is irrelevant. I’ll carry a Wilson 1911 until I can’t run the slide.
Great video. Taught me about Wilson Combat. Coincidentally, early this morning I placed my first order with Wilson Combat for an aluminum compact mainspring housing for one of my Kimbers. If it’s a nice as I expect, I’ll order another.
Very cool interview guys, great hearing how things get started how successful you've been over the years. I think a Wilson Combat handgun is on everybody's bucket list for good reason.
I just ordered some parts from WilsonCombat.com the other day, a standard guide rod and recoil plug for my Kimber, and didn't know about a lot of the products they're talking about. I'm going to be on their website for the next hour.
Watched your maintenance video the other day on 1911s. This video just confirms that other companies don’t have a gun people. I called Smith and Wesson to ask them about the springs in my 1911 mind you this is the service department at Smith and Wesson and their reply was we don’t keep specs on the springs and we don’t know what they’re made out of. Nice that’s a lot of help, can you feel my sarcasm. Think I’ll be dealing with Wilson combat from here on out.
I put my AR together with the best in the last 3 months but I made sure I saved up and waited for my trigger group for Wilson.. I'm on SSI so it takes me time to save up..Got a low end 1911 because it's all I could afford looking forward to having some good parts..
I would really like to see a clip showing the build of a 1911 Tactical or Classic Supergrade Tactical Supergrade, Armor-Tuff, .45 ACP Stainless Steel Upgrade | Matte Bead Blast Flute Chamber Flush Cut / Reverse Crown Barrel Checker Bottom of Trigger Guard, 40 LPI Checker Front of Trigger Guard, 30 LPI Short Trigger Pad Laser Etch Wilson Combat Logo on Left Rear of Slide Grip Exchange - Cocobolo Starburst grips Nothing proprietary or trade secret wise but to see the pistol as it goes through it's steps, and then some actual firing line action with it.
On the subject of Magazines I bought 6 of the Wilson Black 45 Magazines. The finest, highest quality Magazines that I have ever had in my 70 years. I ordered 2 of what I thought was the same magazine only in 9mm. Unfortunately what I received were "Vickers Tactical" Magazines.
I would love to have a Wilson Combat pistol, but for now, at least I can get the magazines and increase the reliability of my pistols. My 38 Super and my 45 have them. One day maybe. Thanks for the video:)
I always wanted to ask this question...Now ,if we put a gun on a car windshield( parallel to it)...and drive, say 60 miles/hour and we shoot...will the bullet fly through the windshield or simply cross over without touching it...? thank you
Think about one thing "Only in America"! I am not a handgun guy or an AR-15 guy but I sure will buy a Glock 19 that you fellows work on for the simple reason if I am going to carry one, and learn to shoot one properly then go with what I am going to want anyway and not pick up any of the bad habits from the start. It takes a long time to fix a bad habit, I learned the hard way with my big game hunting shooting rifles bigger and heavier than what I actually needed, live and learn.
My name is jimmy I like to see the people around me happy even they not helping me in my right , I know everything is hard to all of us , I just want everyone to honor our certificate identification, even school they don't know what I mean, kids don't know knotting at all hard to teach people like our family also we don't respect each other no more , I want car and home at least that way I can speak to my visitors welcome , it don't matter to me what raise as long coming like human I know the 5 quality of the citizen ,
Please help me out in making an educational purchase! Which of the Wilson Combat 1911 models are the best 2-3 choices for one-handed Precision Shooting at 30-60 yards? Please be elaborate and share your opinions or experiences of what you believe would work best specifically in Precision Competition shooting, I am talking about the one-handed Olympic competitions, (not two handed center-mass competitions). I like to Pre-Thank anyone that can take the time and share their understandings of how to make the best “precise” choices :) Kind regards, Christopher
The only olympic competitions (all one-handed) are in caliber .22 lr. If you want to shoot in these kinds of competitions, get a specialized, issf-compliant .22 lr sports pistol with an ergonomic grip, like a Walther GSP or SSP. The olympic "free pistol" competition at 50 meters (55 yards) is even more specialized. They use single-loaded .22 lr pistols with extremely customized designs and grips. I have never heard of any competitions like that for larger calibers and/or one-handed competitions for 1911s. Certainly not at distances of 25 or even 50 meters.
What state you sir ? Please fix my bike at least I can ride bike to 5 states how Manny state we have 63? I confuse again , no body hurt me in my body ,
I bought a wilson edc x9. Damn thing misfired everytime lol. Sent it in. The took some hammer off. Sent it back to me. Now side grips slide little bit, who ever test these guns should be fired. They shouldve atleast sent me free mag or two for all bs ive went threw.

I'm only like this because I feel like I been use for long time , no one respect certificate identification , I am proud police give respect on that , but the civilian I don't think they know , specialy when I apply for credit , but reality I am United States of America nationality , the money they call the curancy is made of United States of America , the beuroe printing ingraving , something like that , I don't know who is corect who's not , who don't like United States of America ? I can't hate no one , because if I did they won't be free , eny more , I am guy always please,
Bill is such a humble person, the way he emphasizes about him having great employees really showed the type of person he is! 👍
Everything about Wilson Combat is what’s great about America, what a great story!
Greatness never starts with monetary profits. It starts with passion for doing what you love.

Bill is such a down to Earth guy. Respect a self made man. Love listening to him speak.

Wilson is a great guy to listen to, as eventually he'll enlighten us with some very special knowledge if we really listen.
Yeah, he strikes me as a kind of guy who doesn't lay all of his cards out on the table at once. He seems like a guy who opens up a little at a time with jewels of knowledge here and there.
Mr. Wilson said it correctly: you have to use your product enough to know the quality of it. Very humble gentleman. Thanks for sharing !!

Thank you, Mr. Wilson, to make the best 1911 in thew world!
Great to hear about King's!
I lived around the corner from that place. I wish that I still had my old 1911 from there...
Fabulous customer service and an amazing firearm! My main one has over 30,000 rounds and it’s still as reliable as it’s first day three years ago... amazing gun!

You guys are awesome! Love my Wilson’s!
Great video. Taught me about Wilson Combat. Coincidentally, early this morning I placed my first order with Wilson Combat for an aluminum compact mainspring housing for one of my Kimbers. If it’s a nice as I expect, I’ll order another.
Mr wilson. You are an amazing man. All for the good.
And did I just hear the talks of a Wilson Combat Glock and Wilson Combat Sig P320?! I'm definitely intrigued!
Very cool interview guys, great hearing how things get started how successful you've been over the years. I think a Wilson Combat handgun is on everybody's bucket list for good reason.
Been using wilson products for years , love it

Thank you gentlemen for this story. I’d like to hear more details on how Mr. Wilson grew the business
Like the series interesting videos Thank you for making them.
I put my AR together with the best in the last 3 months but I made sure I saved up and waited for my trigger group for Wilson.. I'm on SSI so it takes me time to save up..Got a low end 1911 because it's all I could afford looking forward to having some good parts..
I would really like to see a clip showing the build of a 1911 Tactical or Classic Supergrade
Tactical Supergrade, Armor-Tuff, .45 ACP
Stainless Steel Upgrade | Matte Bead Blast
Flute Chamber
Flush Cut / Reverse Crown Barrel
Checker Bottom of Trigger Guard, 40 LPI
Checker Front of Trigger Guard, 30 LPI
Short Trigger Pad
Laser Etch Wilson Combat Logo on Left Rear of Slide
Grip Exchange - Cocobolo Starburst grips
Nothing proprietary or trade secret wise but to see the pistol as it goes through it's steps, and then some actual firing line action with it.
Wonderful history lesson, thank's
I am glad you all work on mine two m9 92
I got a Centurion Tactical this year and that's my favorite handgun I've ever owned.
I have an 18" Wilson combat 6.8 barrel.... one of the best purchases I've ever made
I like the Kimber micro 9 it fits my hand perfectly it was about money so I got the best I could afford.
This is a great interview and a great history lesson.
This is a great video.

I want some Wilson Combat Mossberg 590A1's
Optic ready EDC X9 please, soon! I've got one eye veering off on the Staccato P.
Great interview, I got to shoot a Wilson Combat 45 last week, wow, great gun!
Bill will you do a video on how you oil your 1911, wet or dry or somewhere in between.?
No wonder they make quality. A jeweller/watchmaker's son must have an eye for detail.
I wonder what Bill could do with a CZ.
Very informative and liked all videos, Good information.
I would love to have a Wilson Combat pistol, but for now, at least I can get the magazines and increase the reliability of my pistols. My 38 Super and my 45 have them. One day maybe. Thanks for the video:)
I just ordered a Wilson today, my 6th, I have a problem.
Get me one!
@@CommentingTheTruth
Get a job.
Only 6 ? Yea you got a problem Should be around 10 or so 👍
Love the Henry ford deal reference...
Great conversation!
Really nice interview. I really enjoyed it.
Last Question: “Will the .45 ACP 1911 remain the flagship of Wilson Combat?”
Love love my CQB and CenTac. I would be very happy to own a Wilson Combat SIG P320 - please?
Love popping bowling pins
Great interview.
I always wanted to ask this question...Now ,if we put a gun on a car
windshield( parallel to it)...and drive, say 60 miles/hour and we
shoot...will the bullet fly through the windshield or simply cross over
without touching it...? thank you
Good advice 👍
Thanks 👍
Quality company, my CQB Elite is rock solid
Now RIA has full featured gun's that shoot and are reliable. That's because of these guys.
WC,so cool,I like
I wish WC would get into the 1873 Colt Peace Maker market!
Great video
Great story, great products!
I believe you sir
I wish someone would show how a 1911 is made from the start of the forging of the frame and slide to putting it together to the battlefield.
Bring back the shotguns(scattergun technology)
Think about one thing "Only in America"! Jewelry repair isn’t something to be laughing at. It’s what gave you your base for attention to detail
What would be a good sub $2,000 first 1911?
Dan Wesson ;)
Is it true Bill , that you at one time hired some of Kimbers gunsmiths to work for you ?
