What do you mean by quantum mechanics? If you mean a typical theoretical physics lecture on quantum mechanics, then I would say quantum mechanics is really overrated and actually quite easy... it's just some linear algebra and elementary calculus. But if you mean mathematical sound quantum mechanics, which relies on spectral theory of unbounded operators, then I would say high-dimensional statistics is easier.
