I called Bay Alarm Medical to inquire about such a system with fall detection. When the lady found out I was just 41, she point blank told me that at my age, I don't need to be having anything to do with a medical alert system. She told me to make sure I take my medications everyday and keep my iPhone on me at all times, and I'll be just fine.
Note you are leasing the base system and they recommend that you pay an extra 3 dollars a month (I called on 8-1-23) as a warranty to replace the system once a year.
Bay Alarm was a huge disappointment. Several times my mother's calls were not responded to, at all. They sent test signals in the beginning to be sure it worked. After several attempts to get help, and there was not a response, I asked them to send a test signal while I was with her and I was told they were not allowed to do that. Terrible system. Returning.

So are you saying they have to change their phone co to At&t?
If someone has a hearing issue can volume be adjusted?
