    Finally, something I can use this baby for! Great tutorial- keep them coming!

    • @making-things
      @making-things  3 месяца назад +1

      It's about time that baby started paying off. Another great way to create brushes is, when you run into a celebrity, have them sign their autograph directly in your Procreate artboard, and then apply Gaussian Blur. Maybe not right in front of them, but you get the point. Take care.

    Really interesting. Don’t hesitate to show experimental techniques. Often I discover something weird or interesting, and then realise best practical use for it at a later time!

      That’s great to hear. I like finding alternative ways to be creative, but never know if it’s super useful to others. I assume I am not alone.

      I totally agree! I actually learn a surprising amount more from experimental abstraction than I do from a full featured tute making a finished sculpt. Very very good tutes! More!

    By the way: To smooth the whole object evenly, the Round All / Round Edges Brush is much more economical with resources than radial symmetry.
    Great tutorial.

    You mentioned a skill share… thing. Do you have a presence on skill share? A patreon?

    • @making-things
      @making-things  Месяц назад +1

      Sorry, no I do not have a Skillshare course. It was a poorly executed joke about a Skillshare course on making brushes, because my brushes were so crude and terrible. I thought about a Patreon, but if I do start that, I would definitely offer a higher tier of assets and tutorials for anyone willing to support me that way. I feel bad that I am only able to put out a video every couple of weeks at the moment. It's a limitation of time for me. RUclips is a side passion, and I work fulltime and do freelance. And then there is spending time with my family, so it's busy at all times. One day, I would love for RUclips to be full-time. Dreams! I am taking suggestions on courses you'd like see though.

    How did you get the alpha selector to the lower left corner? I have to navigate the stamp settings to select mine

    • @making-things
      @making-things  3 месяца назад +1

      Good question. I am not sure. What device do you use? I know that there are some differences between iOS and Android. For me, I'm on iOS and when I tap Stamp Settings, it states "This tool doesn't have any specific settings." I am going to try and find the answer for you though.

    • @thehangardesigns
      @thehangardesigns 3 месяца назад

      @@making-things yeah sorry, it’s the menu next to settings. Where your alpha selector is, I have a stroke painting selector.
