You are a true Gentleman Chris. If it wasn’t for Glenn’s enthusiasm and Tamiya Legends I would have never gotten back into vintage Rc. Fast forward 3 years and we are great friends and my collection is knocking on the door of 400 cars/ kits with my own channel. He did so much for this community with little to no financial resources. It is nice to be able to give back to that dedication. Thank you for your selflessness and bringing all those memories back to him.
Wow, what a gift! It's absolutely gorgeous! If I owned it I would probably hang it on the wall! Green is my favourite colour and I'm green with envy right now!
The RC COMMUNITY, or RC FAMILY, as I like to call them is so awesome!!! The support to each other is amazing. Never in my life when Grayson and I started our channel did I ever think that we’d have our viewers sending us stuff. It still amazes me, and in turn we’ve sent out things and also shared the hobby with children.. these cars are awesome!! The oil diff is a great feature that more companies should do
Beautiful!.. I have to say Glen, I share your love of touring car chassis. They’re beautiful in their simplicity - and then that carbon and alloy just really pops!
Fantastic looking chassis, I do like the green. I love my touring cars, more than off-road, I currently race a frontie indoors on carpet and I enjoy it so much, despite my lack of driving talent! Excellent video as always!!
Gorgeous motor, l have a collection of motors and can't stop adding to them even though l said l was done on the collection lol.Wonderful gorgeous things! Lovely looking car too Glenn! The green alloy is very sexy!
G'day Glenn god I love the top shelf Hyper stuff back in the day I raced a Hyper ST pro 1/8 truggy everything carbon fibre and some of the best CNC machining i've seen. Mate that Hyper touring car is perfection. Awesome video mate 👍
You should have done today's video with an Irish accent to match all that green 💚. Beautiful 🥰. I'll gladly go to Phenix with you?? You'll need a camera man🤔
A body painted in a candy apple green or candy apple green backed with chrome with some red pearl effect white somewhere and maybe some black lines, ie like chequired flag effect or simple checker box effect would look cool on this. For a good low grip asphalt setup, Get another chassis cut by Bezerk in Australia and get a top deck made without that front post connecting to the top deck (ie two seperate top decks instead of connected where that post is) and get those rear bearing holder cf bits made in a thinner cf and another set so it just holds the bearing and doesn't connect to the rear bulkheads. This options would give you great front steering and also option for high rear grip. It's a nice looking 2010's style tourer
That's a very nice Touring Car ! For 2013 it has some very nice festures. How good were these in races back in tve days? Cheers to you Glenn. I enjoy a nice TC.
Amazing looking car mate 👌 the green really does pop. The difference between tamiya and proper racing kits is just something else. The couple of real high end kits iv built are just next level 👌 Another excellent video Glenn, thank you once again for putting your time in to these channels 👍 Totally disagree with the comment about needing to be time lapsed more.... loved it. Have a great day my friend and..... HAPPY RCing 👍 😊 😏
Glenn the plastic servo mount may be a designed weak spot in case there is an impact on the servo as it hangs over the side of the chassis. Not sure though. Just a guess
I know that the Driver makes all the difference when racing but this chassis how does it fair with other modern chassis. this one for example still has a rear-mounted motor, I don't know if nowadays it's really a Must to have a mid-motor configuration but how does this chassis go on the track? is it a beginner-friendly chassis to start on RC Touring Car racing?
would that outer part of the servo bracket be plastic for possible side hits. plastic will snap instead of bend. means you won’t have to replace all three parts
Fun vid as always, had it on in the background while farting about with a drone and some cameras. Very nice chassis btw. I really should look a bit closer at Hobao.
Probably a combination of that and simple cost savings. If you think about how the servo is ultimately connected to the chassis, it's all from the one side, so any forces would really lever against the inner vertical piece. That's why that piece had to be aluminum vs. plastic. Really no forces on the outer plastic piece, which just has to hold the outside end of the servo to the top bracket. If the inner piece was plastic, guaranteed, the servo would flex like it does on the TD4.
So glad you enjoyed it, Glenn! I've always hated regrets, so when the opportunity came along to negate one of yours, I couldn't pass it up!
Absolutely off the chart my friend, thank you 😇👊🏻

No unfortunately not 😅

regardless of if you like touring cars or not carbon and machined parts are always awesome.
The green is incredible. Too bad they nabbed this color for their brand and we won’t see it somewhere else! Thanks for sharing!

plastic part on servo mount is probably crash protection cheaper to replace the plastic part than a full alloy mount
Yeah that’s a great point 😇👊🏻
