At first I thought: "Why change anything?" After watching the video, I believe you were spot on. It looks amazing! Fabulous work which demonstrates how great this hobby is. It is so much more than driving / racing. Thank you Glenn. Loving your channel.
I was thinking before you said it the only thing I would have maybe left the box behind the driver in the sand color as on the vide the green driver and the green box kind of blend together. I am sure it looks more natural and separated in real life as cameras do struggle showing the colors and shape separations the eyes can see much better. It does look really cool and I am 100% behind you on making it your own! I am glad it turned out the way you imagined it and I know that is always a terrifying step to take as well!
I think she looked nice the way she was, but now she looks great!!! Cheers mate you did great and I do belive in giving It your personal touch and make It your own, modify, change parts and fixing them are the base of the hobby I think cause when It all started It wasnt about collecting, It was about running them make them better and keep them running!!!
I myself don't like military vehicles of any kind...but I must admit that that turned out really well Glenn. Super job and those tires really make it that much betta.
Looks phantastic, way better. Waiting for tamiya to copy it as a Fast Legends Attack Vehicle. Only thing that now sticks out is the silver screws, i would use black hardware specially on the machine gun and in some other places.
I love it Glenn, it just looks more finished. Being ex military i do love green 😎 im just glad you took the silver sticker off the left hand side, that was really bugging me 😂
Brotha, i think it looks way better now, you took a chance and it paid off!!! Love your video's Glenn, always a pleasure to watch ;) Stay groovy mang!!!
100% better... Definitely works Glenn... Lovely work!! I would have gone a bit extra and painted the front spring perches... Bare metal doesn't gel with the rest of it but hey that's me. Awesome!!
The car looks great👍👍. I can understand your frustration when painting this car, There is so much that needs to be painted if you want to change the color. I made mine a beach buggy and there was even nuts and washers that had to be painted 😂.
Definitely brings a balance to it. I always feel like the XB kits are not really finished. They are only done to a certain level. You have added more detail and brought it up to a much higher level.
Nice job Glenn. For the front, you could put some spacers under the front shock towers to get that stance you're looking for. Also I would of painted them green 😊 lastly all the visible screws and nuts I would paint to blend them in. There's so much potential in this cool buggy. ❤️😎
Looking good, Ampro Engineering has a nice front bumper you might like, Wild Willy 2 decals might give you something for the battery box that you pointed out. To bad they used silver screws instead of black. I think you were right about the green. Tires look awesome. To bad you can't cut some of the front shocks threads to lower the ride height. Again, great video, 👍👍👍👍👍
Never doubt yourself Glenn. I’ve watched your videos for a long time and all your builds come out looking great to me and give me inspiration for mine. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing the next 👍🏻
Looks ace! The tire writing brings out the white colors from the camouflage. I like your process of daring to do something different and finding success better than you imagined most of all.
Night and day, I can't believe how much better this looks Glen, well worth the effort. Squeeky bum time for you before you committed to paint I'm sure!
Looks good! Just wanted to say watching your videos have helpd get me back in the hobby after 30 years. Just built my first Tamiya (Lunchbox). Love it my only gripe would be the shiny chassis plastic might scuff up chassis parts and spray with satin black being it's going to be a shelf queen anyway. I went with the darker yellow you used seems to match the wheels better
Looks great. Love the front tyres. I do agree that on the video the box behind the driver would look better in the original colour to add some contrast but overall it’s a winner.
Would love to see you build a tamiya Toyota Bruiser. I am half way through one now and it’s the most enjoyable build I have ever done! Always love your passion for all these vehicles!
RC cars are there to make you happy. If that means making it your own, so be it. To my eyes It looks great but I’d also heat shrink the motor wires in black, and use a black motor cover.
Great vision there Glenn, the FAV is a beautiful model but what you did was inspired, I always thought the ReRe was a bit bright (for want of a better description) to be a proper Military Vehicle, it now looks fantastic, I think it's all the small details and really the wheels painted in green, really makes this car. Great job my friend 😉
Absolutely agree with your review. From this side of the camera there looks to be a bit too much green and the box sections should have stayed sand colour. But if it looks spot on in real life, then it's all good! Nice work all the same 👍
I'm trying to like it but because the tan was used in the desert, the Green would make it stand out so it comes across a little confusing. Same for the tyre writing but i'm sure like with all of your videos i'll find something that I like and do the same to mine 👍
Wow, what a good job you've done of the FAV, looks superb! To be honest it looked very 'toy grade' before you painted it, but now it looks much better. Awesome content as always fella!!
Looking fantastic my friend just pops more in my view your spin has really brought it to life and obviously the tyres are a big thumbs up even though I'm a massive fan of the original tyres on the fav too! Yeah Glenn the Tyres were made by SRB Bloke (Steve) on the TC and friggin hell the guys work is top draw! His 69 Scorcher he did was totally inspirational you will have to look that work of art up mate! If only l had 20% of the skills these guys have lol... I get what you were saying about the green at the back but i think the camera doesn't portray the light and shade like in real life so I personally would leave it just as it is it looks just right! You must be happy with that! One thing I would do is actually spray the silver can green yeah that's more green lol but greens good! Plus it wouldn't be overkill as doesn't affect the actual car and it's only a silver can so can always be swapped out if not too keen! But totally get what you've done here and you really have enhanced an already lovely expert built tamiya FAV! Love it! I am working on a project right now I'm watching you on my telly mate! Man so love this hobby even with your dribble in the background! Haha! Cheers James.
Great job Glenn, love the extra green but I’m not sold on the white tyre writing. Personally I would of done the tyre writing in the tan colour to match the body. Also love those front tyres, they are super cool 😎.
Top drawer again. Just the extra stance of the chunky front tyres makes a world of difference. The tyre writing makes no sense at all in context of the military vehicle as you said, but it really adds as well. Over all I think a very worthy endeavour, BX or not, I see no difference adding your own spin to a car.
It definitely looks way better than before with all that baby sick brown on it 🤣 also looks more robust now 👍, that's why I always preferred the Wild One as the wheels were a slightly larger diameter. Obviously they are different buggies but very similar, just thought the Wild Ones wheels looked better scaled.👍👍
I think it looks great with the extra green but I'm not sure about the tyre writing. You could probably get away with a a shorter screw to replace the shock shaft but I'd probably chop the length off the end and use a die nut to re thread the shaft. Those O rings actually look like some sort of rubber mount anyway.
Loving the new look. Those front tyres are bob on, they're the right level of aggressiveness. Would shorter bolts drop the ride height without needing the O rings? One gripe/suggestion/comment, I think removing that big black bumper would bring it up to the next level.
Great improvement and I hesitate to say but maybe the roll cage and bumper could have been painted. Just an idea as I know the work involved would be massive but I haven’t seen anyone paint the cage. Still brilliant 👍
Yeah funny enough I almost started that one yesterday but decided to finish a couple of other smaller projects 😅 It won’t be long now as it’s calling to me lol 😇
At first I thought: "Why change anything?" After watching the video, I believe you were spot on. It looks amazing! Fabulous work which demonstrates how great this hobby is. It is so much more than driving / racing. Thank you Glenn. Loving your channel.
Thanks for the lovely comment David 😇👊🏻
Tamiya need to sell a XB Glenn addition because you have knocked it out of the park. Awesome, absolutely awesome!
Oh wow thanks for the lovely words Andy 🤩👊🏻
Spot on Glen!!. Looks fantastic. The extra work adds so much more to the camo finish👍👍👍👍
Fantastic thank you Darren 😇👊🏻
It's your model and it's your enjoyment of the finished car. In my opinion you smashed it. Cracking job
Awesome thank you 😊
I have the FAV Shark Mouth. Great looking buggy. Drives great and very stable. Nice job.
Fantastic thank you for watching 😎👊🏻
I was thinking before you said it the only thing I would have maybe left the box behind the driver in the sand color as on the vide the green driver and the green box kind of blend together. Buggy looks outstanding.
Thanks buddy much appreciated 😅
I myself don't like military vehicles of any kind...but I must admit that that turned out really well Glenn. Super job and those tires really make it that much betta.
Excellent I’m glad you like it my friend 😊👊🏻
Looks phantastic, way better. Waiting for tamiya to copy it as a Fast Legends Attack Vehicle. Only thing that now sticks out is the silver screws, i would use black hardware specially on the machine gun and in some other places.
It’s funny as I was doing it and until now I’d not thought about the screws but!!! Yes you are spot on I’ll be revisiting this my friend 😇👊🏻
I love it Glenn, it just looks more finished. Being ex military i do love green 😎 im just glad you took the silver sticker off the left hand side, that was really bugging me 😂
Haha yeah how annoying was that stupid sticker lol 🤣👊🏻
Haha, I took that sticker of right after I took it out of the box 😂
Looks good Glenn ...you've bettered tamiya again 😎👌💪🔥🔥🔥
Haha thanks for the great comment my friend 😇👊🏻
Looks great Glenn, tires, of course, are the most drastic but the paint work compliments. Great job.
Thank you 😊😊😇
Miles better great job with the paint Glen 👍👍
Thanks Martin 😇👊🏻
Amazing transformation! The green addition makes it pop!
So nice to see it back in the video’s 😁 👍, and yeah looks awesome!
And it’s all thanks to you my friend 😇😇😇
Brotha, i think it looks way better now, you took a chance and it paid off!!! Love your video's Glenn, always a pleasure to watch ;) Stay groovy mang!!!
Thank you 🤩🤩🤩
Looks great. Man you need to chill your channel is called Tamiya legends for a reason . Dude you are the man lol
Haha I don’t know about that 🤣👊🏻
Very nice results. Thank you
Thank you for watching my friend 😇👊🏻
It's looks great Glen,
Thanks Peter 😎👊🏻
Outstanding result
Thank you 😇👊🏻
100% better... Definitely works Glenn... Lovely work!! I would have gone a bit extra and painted the front spring perches... Bare metal doesn't gel with the rest of it but hey that's me.
Awesome!!
G'day Glenn love how it turned out mate cool video mate 👍
Thank you 😊
Yes,it looks good.
Thanks Kash 😊👊🏻
You smashed it, Glenn 👍
Thank you 😇😇😇
Great result Glenn, looks awesome!!
Thanks Tony 😎👊🏻
Outstanding Glenn! Very imaginative to come up with those changes and I'm all for making them your own.
That looks fantastic Glenn 😍! With respect, I'm copying that look just as soon as I get mine. 👍
That’s awesome 🤩🤩🤩
Definitely looks better. If they bring the kit version back I want one.
I plan to do my XR311 in desert sand colour as it think it will good
Yeah we just need them to re re the Cheetah now 😇🙏🏻🙏🏻
The car looks great👍👍. I can understand your frustration when painting this car, There is so much that needs to be painted if you want to change the color. I made mine a beach buggy and there was even nuts and washers that had to be painted 😂.
Haha that’s awesome my friend 😊👊🏻
Nice Glenn, really really nice
Thanks Andrew 😊👊🏻
These were so rare back in the day. I painted my grasshopper camo and put gi joe guns on it to make my own
Definitely brings a balance to it. I always feel like the XB kits are not really finished. They are only done to a certain level. You have added more detail and brought it up to a much higher level.
Thank you my friend 😇👊🏻
Hi Glenn from Yorkshire England make it your own cool rc 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks buddy 😇👊🏻
I think thats a big improvement. Thanks Glenn as always for doing these videos. They cheer me up when I have crap days.
Nice job Glenn. For the front, you could put some spacers under the front shock towers to get that stance you're looking for. Also I would of painted them green 😊 lastly all the visible screws and nuts I would paint to blend them in. There's so much potential in this cool buggy. ❤️😎
Great feedback my friend 😇👊🏻
I agree about the shock towers. They'd look better green.
looks very good with your small detail too add value as the stock version is a little plain , well done
Thanks Bradley 🤩👊🏻
Looking good, Ampro Engineering has a nice front bumper you might like, Wild Willy 2 decals might give you something for the battery box that you pointed out. Turned out awesome Glenn

Oh wow that’s awesome Charles, thanks for watching my friend 😇👊🏻
Really nice!! I should not done wheel paint, but its ok. The driver could have been light brown, but green also ok.
Thank you 😊
Looks great. Love the front tyres. I do agree that on the video the box behind the driver would look better in the original colour to add some contrast but overall it’s a winner.
Thanks Wade 😊😊😊

Thank you 😇😇😇
Great colour choices Glenn, works very well 👌🏻. I remember you painting your last FAV ages ago which ace as well 🤩
Oh yeah that was all green, that looked cool when it was finished 😅
Glenn looks amazing mate. Well done 👍
Thanks so much Lee 🤩👊🏻
Much better with the green wheels, makes the tyre writing pop 👌
Thank you 😊
Looks good what you did👍
Thank you 😊

Well done Glenn! Looks good. I do remember the originals in the lhs looking more green than the new version.
Thank you 😊
Wow, what a good job you've done of the FAV, looks superb! To be honest it looked very 'toy grade' before you painted it, but now it looks much better. Awesome content as always fella!!

Thanks Adrian 😇👊🏻
Love it glen great job bud
Thank you 😊
I absolutely love it!! I like the other version of it more though. The shark version but yours looks bad ass!
Thank you 😎👊🏻
Really nice Glen! I actually think you could have a little further and painted the front bumper, side bars, roll cage and gearbox as well. 👌👌
Looks great Glen massive improvements 👍
Thanks Simon 😊👊🏻
Yup, looks good. I like it! 🙂
Excellent thank you 😊
Well if you ask me? I think it looks amazing. I am a huge fan of making things personal to the whoever owns the rig. Great job bud. Well done. :)
Thank you 😊😊👊🏻
Great job Glenn, love the extra green but I’m not sold on the white tyre writing. Personally I would of done the tyre writing in the tan colour to match the body. Also love those front tyres, they are super cool 😎.

Looking good just needs a basic light set and bearings 👍
Yeah definitely planned for the future Alex 🤩👊🏻

Excellent feedback thanks Tim 😎👊🏻
this looks great the 2 shades of green on the side works well too.
what brush paint do you use?
I just used the Tamiya paint pots, nato green and olive drab 😅
The only thing i would do differently, would be the tire lettering. Somehow make them more subtle. Other than that, big improvement i think.
Looks amazing 😍😍
Thank you 🤩👊🏻
Great improvement and I hesitate to say but maybe the roll cage and bumper could have been painted. Just an idea as I know the work involved would be massive but I haven’t seen anyone paint the cage. Still brilliant 👍
Oh yeah that’s definitely an interesting idea 😊👊🏻
Looks brilliant Glenn 👏 👌 👍
Looking good. I always take the bit off the mount on the top of the roll cage. Just think it looks odd.
Excellent thanks for watching Daz 😎👊🏻
Looks alot better mate 🏆😁
Thank you 😊
looks awesome sir job well done always good fun adding that custom personal touch 😉👌
I get why you did the tyre writing you might not see it in your collection 🤣😁👍
Haha that’s spot on Ian 🤣👊🏻
Bloody marvelous!!!!!!!!!!
Gauranga ❤
Looks mint glenn love the mods im all for mods ave just ordered one great work ,love the front tyres too 👍
Looks 🔥 would of painted the diff box either sand or Matt alloy
Good job!!! What tamiya olive grab colour code do you use?
Looks fantastic
Thank you 😊
Look great better than before
Awesome job mate 👌
Thanks Mark 😇👊🏻
Looks mint!
Thanks Wayne 😎👊🏻
Great work again, when are you building the blockhead wild one as i am going to buy one soon.
Yeah funny enough I almost started that one yesterday but decided to finish a couple of other smaller projects 😅
It won’t be long now as it’s calling to me lol 😇
I like it way better with the more green
Thanks Darren 😊👊🏻
Very aggressive, good work this special edition
Very nice... I would consider removing the front bumper and also painting the exposed screw heads?
Hey thanks for the feedback my friend 😎👊🏻
I think that's the way it should be defo 🤘😜🤘
Awesome
Thank you 😊
