@@AandTReacts teams have different departments for different parts of the car like aerodynamics, power unit etc and big teams like Mercedes,Ferrari and Red Bull have thousands of employees all focused on designing the best car possible every year according to the rules which are constantly changing
This is actually a really nice video from none F1 Fans, essentially the drivers don’t own the cars. All The teams like Ferrari, Mercedes red bull ect. pay for and own the cars the parts the mechanics and everything to run the team. Now due to skill the drivers are typically hired to join the team as an employee to drive the cars( although you can pay for your chance to be there for upwards of $25 million dollars a year in a lower down F1 team) the drivers then get paid each year from the team and there sponsors each year to race. However to get into a position where you can race in formula 1 you’ll need to progress through the lower ranks of motorsport. Typically for F1 you would go, karting, GB3/4, f4, f3, F2, F1. In all other category’s you have to pay to be in the team regardless of skill. And to go from Karts to F1 you would need to spend roughly $8 million dollars. Hope this clears everything up on the cost of F1 from a drivers perspective:)
I would highly recommend watching “THE GREA7EST | Lewis Hamilton 7x World Champion!” video as he’s the only black driver to ever race in f1 and is now the most successful in the whole sport.
Did you expect it to be that much?
This is quite old the 2022 cars cost $30M with the Power Units costing around $14M
WOW!!! That is insane. They put a lot into the sport. F1 will be the biggest sport one day

There are some rumours that suggest that Ferrari spent 450MLN only in 2019 to built a car which wasn't the fastest on the grid
