Sometimes the background music is way too loud if the narrator is talking, otherwise nice program.
I agree.. Shame.. Really like programs like these.
I thought it was just me or the first show. Glad to see it’s not just me at all. It’s really a shame cause when I am able to hear her (when the music isn’t playing) and when the docs are chatting it’s a really interesting show. I’m sure I’d enjoy even more.
Yea that's the sound and video editors fault.
This is quite often done to uploads to avoid being blocked by YT for copyright infringement.

Oh come on
Can see why kets so popular with the young and daft. Still extremely dangerous to use outside of a medical setting though!
🤣
The background, "theme," music is so overwhelmingly dominant I can't even hear what the narrator is saying!!
You'd think these kinds of programs wouldn't need extra thematic or tension-building elements, like with the soundtrack, because the subject matter is dramatic and tense enough, all by itself!
I'm not suggesting there shouldn't be thematic elements or music, of course, only that there should definitely be a limit as to how overwhelming it is, at the expense of the rest of the program, know what I mean?!? 👍
the person who uploaded this is probably the reason -- this would not be the way it would be on television
Relative to the main soundtrack, the music is too loud, and the narration is _way_ too quiet.
I, too, couldn't understand the narrator over the annoying music.
@ lindahayden6725
The unloader edited the video to avoid copyright the actual version does not have any music at all.
Does the sound editor have a head injury?
The adjust sound or video to post on here otherwise it would be removed for breech of Copright...its either that or no video at all !!!

If a patient says "I'm dead!" "Hug me!" And "What is me?!"
A solid assumption would be you dont need to ask him if he's still in pain after 1st dose of ketamine lol. Hes trippin balls!
That explains how Ketamine got to be nicknamed "Special K"!
If a patient can talk? Not dead!
That's why I love living in the United Kingdom as our doctors are passionate kind and considerate and I think all countries doctors should be like that 100%
Hannah Mcburney As a trauma patient I'm sure having a physician with a good bedside manner is appreciated. However, I personally, don't really care if the physician has a personality similar to Genghis Kahn as long as they know their job!
I do because if my mother was injured and being treated by a Doctor I'd like to think he's competent and a decent human being. They're not mutually exclusive.
Heather Mefford, it is a proven fact that the attitude of doctors and nurses plus a caring and compassionate nature have bearing on recovery outcome and length of recovery time. As a person with numerous health issues that have and still do need hospital and GP support, and believe me when I say that hospital is never a nice place to be, and due to the hospital staff and their care and kindness, let alone their medical skills, it was far easier both physically and mentally, as apposed to having a ward full of Mongolian, blood thirsty warriors.

Why is the sound so messed up? Seem like a great show, but almost un-watchable.
Dana kinda ruined it hasn’t it?
Usually its because the show was downloaded directly from TV and therefore the security features know they are being interfered with and so the sound will fade in and out - generally a sure giveaway that its been pirated.

Doctors are just a part of a well trained team. They are no more skilled than the paramedics, nurses, police, firefighters and the numerous other hospital staff.

Great show but prob won't watch anymore. Music is too loud/annoying at times and I can't hear the narrator.
Watched from episode 4 and much better sound
I barely heard any narration in Ep 1 or 2. Terrible sound levels for the narration.
Actually, the volume in Ep 4 is NOT any better. While the general sound is okay, the volume of the narration is horrible in all episodes up to and including Ep 4 (probably all of them for all I know).

I must be watching a different series to everyone else, whilst the music was annoying occasionally, it never got to bad that I couldn’t hear the narration, and in episode 1 it was absolutely fine.
Really interesting programme. Terrific examples of teamwork especially when they resuscitated the 60 year old gentleman in cardiac arrest. Police, Paramedic and Doctor saved his life with defibrillator and got him to hospital so fast.
The nurses saying "Luv" and "Darlin" makes me almost want to visit the UK...

Cardioversion is not an electrical jumpstart. It literally stops the heart in hopes it restarts with a better rhythm. Same as defibrillation, which is the same as unsynchronized cardioversion.
WOW, fire the sound mixer person, they suck at their job.
Today, this guy would be waiting 6 hours for an ambulance
Simon is an amazing doctor; calm, cool, collected and compassionate.
My husband's father died of a burst brain aneurism. The thing is he had headaches for two years and even walked with his head titled a bit to the side. The aneurism could have been treated but he refused to go to the doctor because he thought he had a brain tumor. He had watched his sister die a horrible death with a brain tumor. She said no surgery because there was no way they could get it all but her pain would get so horrendous no matter what they gave her, that she had the surgery three times. They would dig out as much tumor as they could which would make her pain manageable but we would lose more of her each time. Death was a welcome relief when it finally came. It's sad that my father-in-law had just gone through that three years before his death. He lost his beloved wife to breast cancer one day, and his beloved sister to the brain tumor the next day. He mistrusted the medical profession being able to cure anything.
Ignorance causes more deaths than any diseases.
How kind are you 😊.

My suspicion is that the uploader has added his own woeful DJ sound-track to the audio!
no doubt. The music is inappropriate lol
The uploader owns the video so the audio editor must have been stoned
It’s funny, they say ‘little scratch’ every time they start an IV and here they say ‘big pinch’.
All these patients were very fortunate that they had good medical care. Amazing that John fell three stories and he's more or less okay.

I'm surprised they didn't check the younger woman who had dizziness for pregnancy first or even ask her if there was a chance of her being pregnant before exposing her to X-rays. My first 3 months of pregnancy I had dizziness off and on. Maybe they did ask and check her but just didn't show it.
im sure they did ask her just before she had the x ray they have to they asked me many times when i needed loads of x rays while in hospital, they cant show everything that is said to the patient ect it would mean the program would be hours long hehe,
She’ll have already been triaged by a nurse by this point, usually bloods/urine sample/ecg for something like this.
Balancing risks here, if they suspect a brain aneurysm then this takes priority over the much lesser risk to the baby, if she were pregnant.
Well done to all of the emergency service workers.
Booming music, poor narration as its buried by the sound of all the other stuff going on, the narrator may as well be on the next room speaking in whispers.

It's to stop the video being removed on copyright grounds...
That insane background music is terrible!
Can't they just add music one time, isn't one alteration sufficient to prevent copyright issues?

I don't care much for the narrator. Great way to keep the vids online! thnx for upping these.
I know what's going on here. Its the same for all of the episodes. It was released with a 5.1 audio mix, and the commentary was on the center channel, with just a tiny bit on the left and right channels to pad it out. It's a really bad idea to dub in background music when dialogue or narration is going on. It overpowers the speaking, and makes it very difficult to understand what's being said...especially for us in the USA who may already have a little difficulty with the accents.
Other than that, I find these shows very interesting and informative.
I happen to like the doctors thoughts being heard but agree the music is a major issue.
Great teamwork.

OMGOSH! What lunatic added that terrible soundtrack to this video?! The poor narrator could hardly be heard!!!
To the production team you need to find a new dubbing team for the music it should be white noise in the background, not an audition for a "DJ" to get his music out to the world. Evidently you never listen to your productions, your paying a narrator that no one can hear over the music.
Other wise great show, to those who watch learn to do CPR the life you save may be your loved one.

He was talking to the Paramedic.
If you’re going to make a program available on RUclips then how about letting us hear what is being said and knock it off with the loud music intended to add drama! The events are dramatic enough for most people, your choice to drown everything out just means viewers will stop viewing!😡
Love the program, but please cut the music while the narrator is speaking. It's very irritating to try to hear what's being said. 😠😠😠🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
What’s with the background music, can hardly hear the narrator, far too loud.
People need to be taught that when you're on a ladder that it accessing more than 2mtrs you must have a person assisting you and monitoring the ladder and the environment! There are too many accidents on ladders and if in industry these are the requirements then they must be made mandatory in personal use! There is no use in having health safety rules in business and not in public use!
He certainly needed to be in a safety harness at that height! Terrifying.
WHY IS IT EVERYTHING WE WATCH ALWAYS HAS MUSIC PLAYING WHEN PEOPLE ARE TALKING EVEN ON TV. IT'S A DISTRACTION AND I HATE IT. CUT THE MUSIC WHEN THEY ARE TALKING.
These guys are awesome in us we don't have this.
The other thing they don't tell you on this program is that all of these services are covered with their taxes, there is little to no out of pocket expenses to these patients.
@Lady Jupiter Yes, obviously - what do you think tax is?
We do have wonderful EMS and doctors here! I know, I work with them. The system may be flawed but the people who work within it are for the most part very dedicated.
@Lady Jupiter: incorrect . The vast majority (about 80%) is funded by general taxation with the remainder made up by national insurance.
They could of made the music quieter when people were talking or just had it quiet fullstop
The worst audio editing that I've heard in a long time.
Audio engineer mucked this one up - unless drowning out the voice-over with drums was the intent
The sound has been recorded on one channel only which explains the sound, it's only coming through one speaker, so you can't hear the diologue through the other speaker.
I thank God for these wonderfully skilled men and women in emergency care. What a wonderful lot of people they are.
Please fix the sound issues. Very frustrating at times.
I mean I get why thy are needed for the elderly man and the truck because they need to find out who’s fault it is but Yano
My question is, why is there police in the background of almost all of these, I know they work closely together but a man falling, why does it need police they no he fell not got pushed, the police could have been used somewhere else
I think because they send police and ambulance to major injuries, so if one of them get late because of traffic, the police can give first aid , and also resuscitate. And they can help the ambulance , or talk to husbands or kids, so they have help to.
The police were possibly there ,because it could be a case of charging the employers with gross negligence .For example not putting up scaffolding which is the safest ,not ladders.
Police Officers act on behalf of the Coroner in the UK if there is an unexpected death. They were there to control the scene and restrict public access as well as carry out Coroners duties should the patient die
Love the show, but I can hear someone talking in the background. I can't hear what she is saying.
Music is so freaking loud you can't hear anything. Please cut the music down or take it out completely.
I will happily subscribe to this channel WHEN THE NARRATOR CAN BE HEARD OVER BACKGROUND NOISES.
Great program! And like all shows like this narration is very import. When the woman narrator is speaking she can't be heard at all. Occasionally can't hear the doctors when they speak. The entire show is almost unwatchable because of the sound problems.
Hopefully the problem will be fixed before the next program is posted
The background music is just too loud. Can hardly hear the narrator. Why do so many programs these days have to have the dramatic music? PLEASE, producers, don't feel you have to add it. It's not necessary and just ruins the program.
I had crystals in my left ear. I was having a lot of dizziness. Went to therapy for dizziness. It sounded like pop rock candy. No dizziness now.
I really enjoy watching these medical shows. However, in this particular episode, the loud music that overpowers the narration is very annoying and I suspect this music was not part of the original documentary production.)
It is too bad that the audio is so poor. Music too loud (and unnecessary), volume fluctuates and is muffled.
The sounds on this whole series is like a kid that's been allowed access to the sound room for the first time. Honestly, how did this pass for TV? The sound guy needs sacking!
I agree .the music is to loud.
That ladder fall could've killed him! I know because I fell from a tall ladder last year, and it was 7 weeks in 2 hospitals to recover enough to go home (and follow-up Outpatient therapies in a 3rd hospital). I don't remember anything from the 1st 2 weeks, due to a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) I sustained, as well as the drug induced coma they put me in for better brain health. I got closed skull fractures, a brain bleed, broken ribs, (which punctured a lung and had to be drained so I could breath), and broken collarbone. I was very happy that my brain injury wasn't bad enough to require surgery, and had limited damage. Long lasting issue is some numbness on 1 temple, arm pain and slight double vision. Wear a helmet if you go up on a ladder!
I agree about the background music is too loud. You can’t hear the narrator. It’s better with no music playing.
i got vertigo from a minor head injury when i fell off my bed and that was because hit my head on the desk and fell on the floor 💀💀 it lasted a whole day thankfully, I managed to recover the next day, but if it was still there in the morning I would've gone to the ER.
Now i know not to do that, go to the hospital if you get an abnormals after a head injury
I need a RSI for my mother in law is that possible? 😁😁😁
Taking a drink every time they say "life threatening injury," double shot for "life changing event." 🤪😘😊
Where dòes it còme from, this need to have everything set to music?? If you must do it..do it properly!!
Seems strange that the police direct their investigation based on how badly a person is hurt rather than what the lorry driver did wrong. Doctors thought the elderly man’s injuries were going to be life changing/threatening but luckily it sounds like he recovered quite well - so did the driver get let off the charges? Or charged with lesser offenses? I just think it should be based on what law was broken rather than what happened to the person who was injured.
If the person dies, the charge is obviously more severe than if the person breaks a leg and makes a full recovery. Which law is broken usually depends on what happens to the person, so they need to know the outcome to decide what to charge the driver with. That's if they decide that any offence has even been committed.
very bad sound management. real good and interesting films but the sound... the music too lound, the voices too low

FYI the poster has to circumvent the security parameters YT sets on TV programs because if they (YT) finds them they will delete them. You have to modify the video in some way in order to do this. This is what you have to put up with if you don't want to pay to see it?
I wish people had common sense to understand this! 🤦🏼♀️
Bedside manner is NOT the male ER doctors strength. Irritation with your patient being scared and panicked, does not help anyone…including the medical team. This is a textbook case of a doctor loosing connection with the importance of the psychological, mind/body portion of healing.
Pretty typical of doctors here in the UK to be honest - rarely have any patience with patients when it comes to bedside manner. Too egotistical for that.
the sound is not great. it ebbs and wanes, impossible to hear the woman's commentary.
Dr Anne is an amazing woman, very intelligent
I did want to watch this episode however the background is too loud to hear properly
It's a very very very very very rare occasion when doctors in the United States are taken into the "field". Generally only in a major disaster, such as the 1989 San Francisco earthquake when you had people trapped in crushed automobiles, or buildings, and they required amputation to rescue/extricate them, or if they were so injured as to need surgery on the spot in order to live. Though I don't know for sure, I would not be surprised if there were doctors at the Towers in New York City on 9/11. It's definitely not a routine thing like in the UK. American Air Ambulances usually only carry a Registered Nurse Practitioner. UK Paramedics in ground ambulance are better trained than in the U.S.
That’s likely true, but generally speaking you’re far more advanced in westernised medicine than we are (by a long way), balances out a bit I suppose….. lol.
Really bad sound editing. Nobody can understand the speaker.
