And then he watches Kugisaki, his classmate, and first partner on an official mission die at Mahito's hands as well. Yuji does the one thing that is rarely well depicted in anime. Someone in an absolute pit of despair. I can't wait to see the rest of season 2.
14:40 just for clarity, when Nobara tells Fumi that the next time they meet, it'll be the three of them, she's saying that as encouragement for Fumi to leave that small town and join her and Saori in Tokyo. She's basically telling her she has to find a way to come too.
I love how everyone knows what it means when a character gets a flashback mid battle in an anime. Yet every time we all sit through the full episode length flashback in denial that maybe it wont happen this time 😭😭
In case you missed the symbolism at the end there, The scene where Nobara apologizes to Fumi is referring to the "Seats in her life" that she tells Yuji about in the end of the first season. She claims that there are "only so many of them" as a metaphor for how closed she keeps her heart, in particular compared to Yuji (who was still grieving after his first time "killing" in their fight with the Death Painting wombs). But the most tragic thing about this scene, in my opinion, is how many of them there are, still unfilled. As if to point out somewhat implicitly, that Nobara still had a lot of time and room to "grow" as a person and become more open hearted, and the abruptness of how that time was cut short. 💔💔
With recent jjk expo,Gege basically confessed that he loves torturing fans by killing off their fav characters lol. Gege boutta FLEX his inner demon in front of Flexi lol
Nah bro, I was like “sure, they killed Nanami, he’s the mentor figure to Itadori, they ALWAYS die to teach a lesson or provide a power up to the MC, it’s an anime trope” but Nobara, she’s one of the big 3, it’d be like killing Sakura in Naruto, it just doesn’t happen. Boy was I wrong, and this death destroyed me back in the day.
Nah I didn't feel anything during culling game. Gege just randomly introduced one character in one chapter and killed him off the other chapter. Also currently what GEGE did is state up nonsense. I stop following the manga when Geto ( the fake one died ) I'm watching the spoilers and questioning myself why gege doing this. This anime had so much potential but gege made this boring. If u are a die hard jjk fan then you can enjoy those chaps but those who seek story progression and character development in anime or manga find this very boring. No Offence
What happened in culling games make her more upset....? I didn't remember nothin' about that ...*spoilers * : the death of the clan .... ~panda, the director ,...
Nobara is probably one of the better female characters written in shonen. I especially love that scene where everyone is seated and shes standing in the middle. Its good but in season 1 shes talking to Yuji about not letting people into her life too easily and she says this to Itadori. "There are only so many seats open in my life, and I dont want my heart to be swayed by anyone who's not sitting in one of them. Of course, there are also people like you who bring there own seat and sit down."
You can see the very last bits of love for the show fade away as the last bits of the lights of happiness leaves her eyes when credits start rolling....
After the nonsense he was pulling since S01 escaping death and shit until S02, I started feeling like he really overstayed his welcome, but he is a bad guy and doesn't give a fvck about our feelings as viewers and will stay until we want to puke. Hate the guy.
@@animeworld61616 I know, and it annoys me to admit it, but he is disgustingly good in those regards. He packed so many of our buddies until the show stopped being Jujutsu Kaisen, it just became Mahito Kaisen.

While the episode was bittersweet, I did love the chair scene and how it was circled back when she spoke about “the chairs” in the last episode of first season. Good writing. They didn’t even do a small flashback. Just if you remembered, you remembered.
Itadori's face at the very end of the episode, looking at Kugozaki on the floor, was anything beyond madness!!! It barely has last 3 or 4 seconds but... it was ruthless.
The audience crying, sad, heartbroken when they see these character die Meanwhile gege in the background:you are my special💃💃 tu taaaaa tu aaaa you are my special
It's like the 20th time I watch this episode, I'm a 30 something old man and yet I cried again. Maybe it's because I'm that old that it gets me so bad. To think of everyone who died with so much potential, to know the terrible things happen just because as just because. Life outside anime is hard and insided of it we at least had some weekly victory. But Gege Akutami is an artist of high caliber exactly because he doesn't deliver a win every week, he make us feel and feel deeply and cry and despair and lose sight of way to solve something. The man is really a genious in his art and the animators bring it to live and turn it way better than the author did. We are experiencing art here and something that will mark at least 2 generations.
Everyone praises Mahito’s VA (rightly so,dont get me wrong), but the way Yuji calls out to Nanami and Nobara just before they’re about to die hits me in the feels every time. As Also, Yuji hanging onto that little bit of hope for a split second, believing he wasn't alone since Nobara was fighting too. Only to see her face getting blitzed is so depressing
Shitty fact - the week the manga released this chapter of Nobara dying. The anime aired its 3rd episode introducing Nobara into the show. Nanami was already dead before the anime premiered.
Nanami's death was really sad but i want prepared for Nobara's death. I remember i really cried when nobara died in the manga. I took a pause from the manga after that.
The next one man, I live for the next one. I had to translate the whole passage from Heiki Monogatari to Brazilian Portuguese because I was obsessed. I love the spin that HE did in the poetry so much with just a phrase but turning completely its meaning. I'm living for the next one.
Wanted to say 1 thing, Nobara's resonance is not a new technique, we saw her use it against Momo and Choso's brothers, it basically allows her to target a person's soul (and objects) through a piece of their body, like Vodoo dolls work, which is why she is Mahito's natural enemy too Oh and also Yuji punched real Mahito, since the clone cant transfigure humans (and also the reason why he was much faster to the point that Nobara couldnt react)
Fun fact nobara used an analogy about chairs and how people in ur life fill up the seats in season one. In the final scene with fumi and nobaras chair falling over it was her officially leaving fumis life
This anime really breaks the anime rule of keeping all of the main trio characters alive till the end by killing off one of them in the second season itself
Gege didn't want a battle shonen story at all but that's what sells, so instead what he did is use generic shonen anime tropes and twists them, like the evil inner demon ( but this actually is evil ). Most characters are underage (they are child soilders/ expendable assets). There is always a main trio ( well there was ).
The silver lining this episode for me, was how when Yuji finally got a window to get some good hits in (thanks to Nobara,) he basically beat Mahito half to death in one combo 💀
