I dont know if it will work for everyone, but choosing the zerolatency on tune below the profile setting helps my game to run smoothly while recording, the the video output is decent.

If obs is really really laggy and obs is not working well then change downscale filter to bilinear if you have base and canvas resolution the same. But you can also use bicubic. I don't recommend lanczos if you really need to get obs settings to a low ammount for your pc to handle

less bitrate = less lag since youre technically reducing the quality
