Stumbled upon your videos and they are the best ive seen in being clear on explaining online teaching especially for beginners or someone who has never taught. Thank you!
I have done master in English literature, TEFL certified & currently teaching since 2017 in a private school. I really want to teach online. So please tell me how & where can I find online teaching job ?
It depends on your passport. Most companies and marketplaces have passport requirements. If you are a non-native speaker, then you’ll want to freelance.
I would be most comfortable doing just conversational classes since I've never been a teacher. Do you have a video that shows a demonstration of a class like in progress so i can see it?
Hi there, do you think someone who has been a freelancer for a couple of years and has been doing stuff like writing articles and translating can easily become an online English teacher? Will he face a lot of challenges?
What are some of the companies you recommend if I want to start Online teaching , while i'm non native speaker ?( an Arabic speaker) I mojoring English literature Thank you for your informative video
I don’t recommend companies for non-native speakers because they will either not hire you because of passport requirements or pay you less. Freelancing is the best option and some marketplaces accept non-native speakers.
Hi and thanks from new subscriber. please one question is there a possibility for a non native speaker to have a reliable english degre online?? thanks a lot
It depends on where you are located since different companies hire from specific countries and even states. It also depends on if you have a degree or not. I recommend filling out my survey linked in the video description and I'll email you back some links.
I have a master's in curriculum and Instruction, esl certification, multiple teaching certifications, and have been teaching in American public schools for 11 years. I am a native English speaker. What's tje best route to begin teaching online?
@@crystalmoore1099I recommend Outschool for teaching high schoolers and freelancing or a marketplace like Preply for adults. Freelancing allows you to charge more but can be expensive and time consuming to set up. Marketplaces can be easier to get started, but they take high commissions. I will be hosting a Freelance Teaching Workshop soon so keep an eye out for that!

I done my master in English literature and recently completed TEFL/TESOL course in PG diploma . Can you please suggest me for online jobs which will be better. I am fresher so i don't know.
Have you ever looked into the TESOL from Arizona State on coursera? It doesn't list any specific hours, I'm not sure what level this would be equivalent to.
I haven't tested it yet, but it's on my list! It does take a LONGGG time to complete, between 6-8 months according to the website, so if you are wanting to teach sooner than that, there are other courses that you can complete in a few weeks.
@@ESLTeacher365 Ok, looking forward to a review. I'm having difficulty with the varying levels/hrs and which might be a better fit. Is the 500hr course necessary?
If you want to teach abroad, then a high quality level 5 course with teaching practice like CELTA is a great choice. If you want to teach online, you only need a basic 120-level course. A lot of companies add on additional topics like teaching young learners, etc. to make courses with more hours. It really depends on how confident you are teaching and if these extra modules are necessary.@@darvinjohnson2025
Hi, am a high school leaver, didn't join any college. Can i be able to get online studies, then later do some online teachings?, and if it's yes , can you please recommend where. I will really appreciate 🙏.
There are companies that hire teachers without degrees, but you’ll want to make sure you are TEFL certified. Also, if you are not a native speaker, I recommend freelancing since many companies hire based on passport.
Yes, non-native speakers can teach online, but do be aware that it's best to teach on marketplaces or freelance since many online ESL companies either hire based on specific passports or pay non-native speakers less.
