The most unappreciated video about camping on RUclips. No messing about, just get it done and here's how to do it. Cheers

Thank you. I havr a large tear several inches. 5 to 6. Do you think itd work as well on that? And also can ypu wash with the tenacious tape on?

It should work with a larger tear and yes, you can wash tenacious tape repairs on the gentle cycle.

Thanks for watching and commenting. 1) I rarely wash my sleeping bags. Instead I fluff them in the dryer with dryer sheets and a few tennis balls. 2) if I have to wash a bag, I hand-wash it with Nikwax down treatment, then dry it using step #1. I have not had my Tenacious tape repairs fail me using these methods. I do NOT recommend washing a $500+ goose down sleeping bag in a washing machine. Thanks again for watching!

Any ideas about larger holes from embers melting synthetic materials?

My autistic son tried to climb into the inside of the sleeping bag a Walmart Coleman red and grey winter sleeping bag he tore the inner liner and the insulation is stitched in some places and he tore the stitching it's there but not like sewen like the rest of it if you understand my badly worded explanation I was wondering first about how effective it would be to use the large tear in the liner to add more insulation perhaps like a down comforter and then I was going to turn the sleeping b bag inside out an use some sort of fabric glue spray it on the bottom 2 or 3 feet and put the aftermarket liner over it and continue in increments until the liner is glued all the way up??? I would like your opinion or critique on the materials or the method of doing it just I'm guessing here so educated opinion would be really nice like would it be better to Velcro or instead of putting a comforter inside under the original liner and glue or fasten In some way like tape or velcro the comforter over the torn liner then put the new liner over the comforter with glue or tape or whatever ( I can't sew at all let alone that much sewing and can't afford a new sleeping bag ooooooo just thought about it but I could glue the new liner on comforter or whatever and then Velcro the comforter to the sleeping bag ?????? Any information would be appreciated

Sounds like quite a tear and quite a repair job. I am not certain your methods would yield the results you want. Since it is a Walmart sleeping bag, it may just be cheaper to buy a new one versus go through the headache and trouble of fixing the old one. Good luck on your decision either way you go!
