Dreadful exhaust sound. I had a Mk1 2.4 litre DOHC, manual 4 speed with overdrive and it was super quiet and still very responsive. Loud doesn't equate to performance. I would be embarrassed to drive that sound around.
That's one beautiful car, and I do agree that the exhaust is too loud; it sounds as if it might be straight- piped. There are low-restriction resonators that can be added that will make the car much quieter, while diminishing the performance very slightly.
