Technical bit: Sometimes when a screen breaks, it's because the LCD panel and the first glass layer have come apart from each other. In these cases, a whack in the right spot will genuinely fix it. This man just got very lucky.

@@sorrefly someone else made an explanation about this, im going to copypasta it This is not faked, or reversed, the images on the screen are moving in the correct direction. An LCD is connected by a lot of tiny ribbon cables, called "tabs" at the top and bottom of the display. These connect into the LCD controller, then into the main board. The problem he is having occurs when one of these tabs is slightly loose, have moved, etc. When the hammer impacted it, force was indirectly exerted on the loose tab moving it back into a correct position. This fixed the TV. Don't do this. This is an understandably a bad way to fix this issue.

I used this technique to heal a person's headache. Now he's sleeping quietly without any pain. It’s not reversed. If you look at the top left of his screen, shows his notifications on the PS4. The notifications slide towards the left (edit: I meant right) and kept sliding to that direction as he fixed his TV.

It most likely realigned some cables not making proper contacts. Many panels have ribbon cables behind the upper and lower parts of the plastic shroud, many of them soldered. A whack like that can sometimes temporarily fix the contact problem. The only way to permanently fix it, though, is to resolder/reattach the cables. Or, replace them entirely in extreme cases.

You just need to be hella lucky and hit it in the right spot and then it might work. But I don't suggest you to do it.

It most likely realigned some cables not making proper contacts. Many panels have ribbon cables behind the upper and lower parts of the plastic shroud, many of them soldered. A whack like that can sometimes temporarily fix the contact problem. The only way to permanently fix it, though, is to resolder/reattach the cables. Or, replace them entirely in extreme cases.
