Wow wow weeee!!!!!! My man dude that's some awesome hard core derby driving.that little 2.3 mustang tugboated & plowed through those other squish up derby cars like snow & mud. awsome.
I also ran these cars for compacts a couple years and they changed the rule to front wheel drive and put me in mid size. Not because i kept winning though. Lol
Makes me so l these cars are getting hard to find and I race them on asphalt oval tracks I know this one was probably way past it's life span as a street car and was probably rotted out but it's hard to find them to build racecars out of. Class is called ministocks and we are going to full tube chassis now with the 2.2 Ford motor or Toyota Corolla version cause these cars are hard to find. It's a really great class and a blast to drive but now since we going to tube chassis it's gonna kill the class
It has nothing to do with the engine his car is the only car heavily reinforced notice how when he slams the front end into the back of the car it doesn’t even buckle. This car is built for a big derby and he’s running it in a small town derby where almost no one reinforces there cars.
0:43 in UK deliberately driving into a driver's side between front and rear wheels is a black-flag banning offense. (but the UK banger racing is twice the speed and four times the damage)
As a former big car guy that changed to FWD limited weld compacts, because they get so much more wild in the ring. I love running against RWD Mustangs like this, They all can build the nose as heavy as they want (within the rules or grey area) along with running some modifications in the engine as well. But in our rules they aren't allowed modified rear ends like the big boys, has to have a mostly stock trans and axle, like we do, only allowed modification on the drivetrain is they are allowed slider shafts and they can weld the spider gears. They have the exact same weak spot as chain and bang big cars, gotta wedge my pointy bumper in that rear tire and wait for the axle, driveshaft, or trans to grenade. With a 1/2 inch square tubing bumper with a point made out of our old farm caultivator shanks, it gets gnarly. I like the FWD's because if my A-Arms get shoved in, I shorten my CV axles as close to the opening of the cup as possible, before coming out. Just weld 3 tabs on the outside of the cup so they dont get pulled out on a corner or side shot, get my 2 plates on my frame, one behind the bumper, one in the engine bay on the frame in line with the A-Arms, along with a small chunk of square tubing so my CV shafts don't get bottomed out. Works great everytime.
@@sithaligaming2817 After the first hit he pulled his stick down, yet the stang hit him a couple more times! You can see it in the video taken from the sidelines! Still an excellent run, though!
Because he most likely thought the green car was hooked to the black car. Considering the green car was only moving back and fourth a little he was hitting the black car in hopes of getting the green car unstuck. Bot everyone wants to win by having cars stuck that can still run.
this reminds me of outlaw full weld compacts. have not seen a compact demo in a long time. our county fair got rid of compact class because of bad injuries and bad fires. now we have street stock witch is a lot more fun to watch
@@ryanbenbow-zx2sd I used to race in the mini stock division and these engines are amazing! You can turn them at almost 9,500 RPMs all night long. It's been proven you put a 4-cylinder many stock up against a V8 Pro stock with equal skill drivers I'm putting my money on the mini stock! Haha
@@ryanbenbow-zx2sd I bet you can, but how long will it live at that rpm? Look I'm not trying to start a dick measuring match here. I'm just trying to point out what a bulletproof Little engine the 2.3 Lima is. 🤷
I've never seen so many stop and idle, naturally the mustang is strong, crashers, drag engine.put the stock engine back in and no crash bars,Watch what happen
Title should be Full Mod Mustang destroys mild weld cars.

Car sounds good you should get a 4 door regal
who was running the mustang would love to know more about the build, noticed front end was shortened alot lol
I think from what I'm getting is that the onboard car is the mustang.
his name is mitch wendling
I don't understand why people carberate luminas like what's the point
It is to reduce the wiring
Awesome run! Did that official walk out on a live track just to break a stick?
We never used sticks. As an official, I just paid attention. 😂
I lost count how many laps did this car do wild sandbagging

Yea but can you own a gun....no you can't. Go back to your shithole country and eat some "crisps"
I really wish exhaust rules were this lenient in banger racing here in the UK

44 why two people is that aloud?
What year mustang and how did you build the front end? That was F'n Awesome!
patriotplowboy 94-04 stang, shorten frame up front
Sletten Derby Team it’s definitely not a 99-04 lmao, no one would put a 2.3 in instead of the 3.8. It’s more than likely a 79-85
Cody Laird, It’s a late 90’s bubble top mustang..I know the guy.
I wouldn't doubt it, they basically shared the same chassis with the fox platform. Less desirable too.
Amazing job dude good driving
Ford mustang rule Chevy drool
I love Ford mustang GT
since when does a 2.3 lima engine have the carb in the center of the hood?
since forever lol
im mean yea the shits reinforced. dudes got money. pretty nice tho.
I miss my 2.3 foxbody :(
funny part on minute 1 to 1 and 14 seconds
Nasty job on building this mustang I got one with the 3.8 going too ccf
Lol
Why did you continue ramming him when he (34 car) signaled to stop numerous times? 9:34.
Then the rest told you to stop.
If you look closely he has a thing called a stick. Now idk about you but every derby I've ever been in if that stick is up your fair game.

picked a good tire, that thing was hooking and booking
wow this video is great
If you can run 1/2 inch all thread down through the hood like that your front end is a battering ram.
Looks to be at least 1" rod
Bes car ever
A lot of driving in circles
How in the hell a subframe car held up that well is beyond me.
The 4 cyl models had the same subframe and unibody as the v6 and v8 mustangs
Haha ever seen a subframe imperial? Lmao those things last FOREVER my dad owns one and it’s about to run it’s 4th derby
