just my theory, but I think it’s quite possible John may have injured himself with a fall. You can really hurt yourself with a fall and he ended up outside in the freezing snow. He may have hit his head on something because his injuries are not similar to getting hit by a car. He may have become unconscious and then froze to death. I think the US jury system is very unfair and biased towards the prosecution. In the UK jurors are selected at random, you do not get to select them and a majority of 10 to 2 is sufficient for either side. It’s not politicians who decide on a retrial like here. But, I do think that if there is a majority for not guilty. Let’s say 9 to 3, it’s ridiculous to put the defendant thro it again and give the prosecution a chance to change their attack whereas whatever was said in the previous trial can still be used against defence

Vinnie, the Commonwealth needs to get the experts that the prosecution used in the Murdaugh trial. Next, why can't that back up video be provided by Lexus? Bring the head guy from Lexus. Lastly, nobody looked for people buying bleach the next morning from a nearby store. Almost always in murders, videos show somebody buying bleach at 7am, which is always solid evidence. Most important, Karen R. Involvement with soooo many supporters out front is manipulative. These people are in effect trying to bully and gaslight the public view. It is too much and it is suspect.

When I first started watching your show during the Alex Murdaugh trial you show was ok, you seem neutral in the case! Since you have done the Karen Read trial the real you came to life & it showed how bias you are! You would side line the truth to where you made Karen your thoughts as she was guilty! There was no credible evidence, but you chose drama by your team Kevin the yellow cottage tails! Its just not me others saw how your were going to use Mazzmedi & LTL for your plot, but they caught on and refused to be on your show! People like me choose not to believe you or watch your show! just my theory, but I think it’s quite possible John may have injured himself with a fall. You can really hurt yourself with a fall and he ended up outside in the freezing snow. He may have hit his head on something because his injuries are not similar to getting hit by a car. He may have become unconscious and then froze to death. Also, there are way too many chick haters leading the blaming on Karen just because she’s a woman. Still today in the 21st century it is shameful that people want to hate on a woman just because of her gender. Read may not be likable person, but that does not make her guilty

Could I be that She knew that she hit him but didn’t expect him to die. He had been in a fight, was struck in the back of the head by her truck when she backed into him while he was not in a standing position. Notice how certain people are not pointing the finger at other certain people. The cover up comes into play because she was not the only one involved.

The court could have asked if they were unanimous on any of the counts - or deadlocked on all three.
Hopefully they retry, clearly it's not a slam dunk how the defense was hoping. Poor John O'Keefe's mother, I hope she sees Justice, it's clear that nobody else had a motive but Karen.

I might feel sorry for John O'Keefe's mom if there weren't photos of her hanging out with the nasty McAlberts and flipping off the camera. I feel absolutely terrible for his niece and nephew - the investigators NEVER sought justice for their caretaker's death.
I think the US jury system is very unfair and biased towards the prosecution. In the UK jurors are selected at random, you do not get to select them and a majority of 10 to 2 is sufficient for either side. It’s not politicians who decide on a retrial like here.
But, I do think that if there is a majority for not guilty. Let’s say 9 to 3, it’s ridiculous to put the defendant thro it again and give the prosecution a chance to change their attack whereas whatever was said in the previous trial can still be used against defence

Did you hear her say she did it? Because as far as I heard from reports she never said she did it! From what I have seen and heard imo there isn’t any proof she did it and those injuries help convince me. Don’t talk about Jen googling “his long to die in the cold” at 220 am long before he was found

@St99748 The EMT made no note of this in their report and didn't add that they heard this confession until well after they'd given their original testimony. That is the case with everyone who testifies to hearing Karen say "I hit him" that day. None of their testimony includes this until after they've already given statements. I'm no conspiracy theorist, I can accept one person forgetting or changing their statement on something this "key", but multiple?

So what happens next
DA already announced that they will retry the case ! A conference is scheduled for 7/22 at 2:00 pm. At that time, The Commonwealth will formally announce that they are retrying the case. They may decide to make changes to the charges. I don’t really know what else will happen.
