Thanks for the video! Just for information. The digitizer and the display are sticked together with a "soft" adhesive. The glas of my Note 10.1 SM-P600 was cracked, but the LCD still worked fine. With a lot of patience and carefulness I got it managed to just remove the glas with the touch (digitizer) and replaced it with a new one which I bought from AliExpress for about US $20.
I have the S-MP600 10.1 Note 2014 and came here looking how to do a Glass and Digitizer replacement only...but after reading you could not replace just the glass/Digi, I looked up the price for the Glass/Digi/LCD and noticed several ads selling just the Glass/Digi. So after several more searches and a few hours to kill...I successfully accomplished it. Mine was broken pretty bad so it took some time, but went really slow with heat about 80 C to 90C for short bursts, used a thin blade to start and playing cards to surround it only to discover loca (Oca) on entire screen (Not just around edges). I remained patient, worked for about 2.5 hours and success! :) Bought the new Glass/Digi from Amazon for about $20 and should have it back together in a couple days when it arrives. 99% alcohol didn't do much to help with the thick layer of glue left behind, so I used Loca glue dissolver I bought from Ebay and plastic Razor blade...took another hour to clean it...total time was about 3.5 hours for me
Thanks :D Your video allowed me to pinpoint the Video Cables so that I could re-seat them. By doing this, I was able to restore the display to a Samsung that had stopped working after it was dropped.
illkitty I dropped my tablet and the display is not showing. But the tablet is making noise and vibrating and turning on fine.Would you know if its largely possible i could have the same problem?
Antonio Martinez I'm not certain, as this was my first take apart of a Samsung Tablet. However, it certainly is possible. First, have you tried holding the power button and the Home button, at the same time, down for 5 seconds? This should allow you to manually reboot your tablet. You could also wait a day or two for your tablet to run down on the battery & then see if it comes back up. In my case, I could hear the tablet booting, so because there was sound, I was sure the tablet was working, but the screen was simply not displaying anything. Once you take the Tablet apart though, the connections are all right there, so you just disconnect & reconnect the ribbons. Note: Take caution when dealing with the connectors, the latches usually pull up, from being flat and then the cable slides out. It can be easy to break the tabs if you are not careful. However, if you have the patience to pry apart the Samsung to even get to the connectors, you've already taken about 10 minutes of caution to detach the latches from the back to get to the motherboard.
Thankyou thats exactly what happening to mine. I think im going to have a buddy look at it. i was just hoping to maybe fix it myself. But i dont want to break anything thanks ill kitty!
Antonio Martinez You're welcome, but the real thanks goes to Repair Tech Trendz here, as their awesome video is what lead me to fixing the Tablet I was working on.

Since this video is only for a screen/lcd replacement you need to use a heat gun. The assembly in the video came off way too easy in my opinion. I guess if you are replacing both the screen and lcd you don't have to be particularly careful in the removal process other than cables and home button.
So the LCD and the digitizer are one piece and the same? I tried this and was told to use heat to remove the glass etc. ah is the digitizer the clear film on the LCD? When I changed the LCD mine didn't have the metal backing like yours. It just had a bunch of glue
Welp I broke off whatever it is he or she pulled off at 1:13, both of them. Didn't know you had to flip the little black tab to release and I pulled off the whole thing breaking the plastic holder. Is that anything important?
Hello, could you tell me if Samsung Note 10.1 Digitizer LCD Replacement for a SM-P601 (black) works for a SM-P600 (white) is there any diference ? thanks
Hi, I have a Galaxy Tab 4 (SM-T530) which now has a flickering LCD display with distorted colors but the Touch screen (Digitizer) is working just fine (each point reacts to my touch) and the top glass is unbroken (not even one scratch). So my question is, do I still need to order also the Touch screen or can I change solely the LCD panel? I understand they are glued to each other and I don't want to break the Touch screen or the glass.
Hey repair tech love the videos. I sent my tab into geek squad. They fixed it great. But when i got it back, i realized it gets hot! Not very very hot. But pretty hot. What would you recommend i look into in order to maybe fix this problem? I really hope you can help me. Please let me know what you sugguest. Much thanks for your time Tech greatly appreciated.
+Antonio Martinez I would take it back to Geek Squad and let them know. They may have not fully attached some of the flex cables or battery. It could also be that the part is defective causing it to overheat.

Urgent question. My digitizer broke. When I wanted to replace it the fixers in my country said it cannot be replaced alone. The whole lcd should be bought with a difitizet. I found all websites sell them separated. So if my lcd is fine why should I change the whole thing?
Hey i was wondering if i cant find a digitizer with LCD on it can i replace the old LCD with the new digitizer or is it fused together with something ?

Nice video. My sister wanted a Note 10.1 p600 and she erroneously ordered for a Note 10.1" LCD + Touch screen on ebay. Now she has only the screen and LCD and nothing else; does anyone have the other part for sale or know where I can get that..or does anyone want to buy it from her. I'm in Nigeria though. Pls respond, thanx a mil
Yeah it sure is. I bought just the screen and had a hell of a time getting the broken screen off. The replacement screen comes with a plastic layer on the inside. That plastic layer on the original is glued to the plastic shield that is glued to the lcd!!! So, I had to get under both to remove and have a sticky mess on the lcd to clean off. I don't think I damaged it. I got frustrated and will go back to the job later. I replaced a screen on a Tab 4 and it was a snap. The screen came off nicely and was easy to replace. Why did Samsung go out of their way to make this much more challenging? Perhaps a chance to make more money on the replacement units! Screen and lcd=$$$$. I don't even know how functional the inner plactic layer is, but mine won't have one. Maybe it won't even work. Will get back with results later.
How do you know if it is the cable or not. Mine will turn on, but I just get a black screen. The screen is responsive to touch, just no image. Any thoughts?
Re-seat the cables. You have to carefully lift the little tab and slide the cable out and back in at the top and bottom. That's why they use tape to hold them in place. Make sure the line on the cable matches the line on the assembly.
hi, Repair Tech Trendz, I have a big problem. i was folowing you video very carefully and got to the 3min 12 sec point but then i caught and snapped the ribbon cable for the 3 buttons.Do know how and where i can get a replacement?. thanks for you time regards Roelf
