    A year and a half later your video is still a lifesaver. It took less than 15 minutes from start to finish. I'm glad I had a few old credit cards kicking around cause the first one I tried was too thin and I couldn't get enough leverage. Thanks again. ~ Marc

    I have a no blue color Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) damaged on 2015. I just think I need to replace the screen. So I put aside the tablet for few years. I have a similiar issue, although i haven’t tried fixing mine yet. But i have a question, did u charge your tablet right before trying to open it up and fixing it? It’s been half a decade since i touched mine so just making sure if i should charge it first or not

    • @kfan9500
      @kfan9500 3 года назад +1

      @@AmusingMusic Dont remember Actually. But charge is an issue. For this note 10.1 I found it cannot be charge if you are using USB cable from 5v USB plugs built-in in 220v PowerBar. For me, I can only able to charge it with original Samsung USB power transformer. I cannot charge it with other power source. Since my goal is achieved, I did not investigate further. The key for charging is Samsung power USB transformer.

    I cannot thank you enough for this video! Samsung "help center" was completely useless and wanted me to reset the tablet, deleting all my files and my kids' pictures! and I kept saying "the screen is completely blacked out! i can't see the instructions even if I wanted to reset to its default settings". Then she said my warranty was expired even though the tablet is less than a year old! so again, a million thanks to you sir!

    Unbelievable!! I dropped my tablet yesterday and the screen went black and could not be revived. That afternoon I urgently bought a cheap replacement from a pawnshop. I saw this video today and figured "what the heck" using a 1.00mm guitar pick to remove the screen from its casing (took maybe five minutes). Followed the disconnection/reconnection procedure in the video (the cable in my case was not perceptively loose) and magically everything's back! Amazing,,,, just freaking amazing! Thanks buddy!

    Hi all. Just have to say that this worked great. I got my gf this tab from America in 2013 and about 8 months ago it had it fall and then screen wouldn't come on unless reset. I took to a Samsung store and they couldn't do anything because it was American. So was told to call a number where they could help. My gf only did this a few weeks ago. She was told to call samsung in America and possible get it sent to the states. So that's the back story. So did a search on RUclips and found this video and it worked like a sweet charm. Usually I'll do this but my gf was happy but nervous to do it and she's happy with the results. Great. Simple. Easy video 🙌🙌

    My problem was similar....when I would reboot, the screen came on fine. I only got the dark screen issue once the screen was turned off. When turned off, I could not get it back on with any of the buttons. This happened after a short fall, as others mentioned. I followed your steps and the strip was still firmly against the battery, but the little clip was in the up position. All I had to do was close the clip, which was one of your last steps. Thanks so much for the walk through. I just wanted to comment, not only to show appreciation, but to also let ppl with my particular issue to know that this video will get your device working again.

Note he tells you to turn the tablet off - but you can't without using the screen! So just let the battery run down (or not). Thanks for encouragement on being patient getting the back off.
