Thanks so much for these great tips! I wholeheartedly agree. These are really good things to incorporate. It is so often that I listen to a song, and it can even be one I really enjoy, but by the end of it, I'm left wishing that it just had a little something extra, a change of some kind, a surprising riff, a harmony that soars higher than the last time you heard that part, quarter notes that switch to something galloping, or when the driving force stops and a sweet, sort of floating, drifting, ethereal bit is introduced before resuming with power chords and double bass or even just ending the song that way. I'm sure there are loads of examples, but Majestica's Father Time (Where Are You Now) has a surprise ending along those lines and it really works! It was really nice to have the examples to demonstrate your points so we could see your tips in action. Good stuff! Thanks again. Hey, only 15 more subscribers to reach 250! It won't be long now!

Hey there, I'm so glad you found these tips useful! Ya, I know what you mean about wanting more out of a lot of songs arrangement-wise. I love your descriptions of ways to make songs more interesting😍! All those are fantastic methods; I think, like you said, they kinda all boil down to the little things. "Something extra" or a change or surprise. There's places where I feel my songs could be more surprising--but hey, it's a process! :)
Majestica - Father Time (Where Are You Now)!! OMG, that song is killer!😱 And that ending sure does work! Argh, I could go on about that band all day... XD
I'm really glad you liked the examples. I appreciate big-time when you viewers give me specific feedback, so thanks! And ya, close to 250 subs! YAY!! Anyway, thanks for such great feedback!! 🤘👍 Rock on!
