Thanks for this video. I get 5C codes regularly on my front load Samsung, especially after the wash cycle and before the rinse/tumbling starts. When I shut off the machine and after that turn it back on, I can succesfully drain the water (by using a drain no tumble program), so I think I might have a different issue? What's your thought?
I think he flipped it over so the opening (front) is on the floor. At least with mine it has this same setup and also a small drain hose from the rubber housing - both lead to the filter and pump and then from there sent to the drain.
In this video the machine is flipped on its back so I could access the hoses on the bottom. Since making this video the motor went out on the machine and we decided to steer clear of Samsung front loads and purchased an LG top load washing machine. Overall we are much happier with the LG
@@toughluckrepairs6537 Thanks. I ordered a new pump, if it arrives today I will install and if that fails, it's PCB, if that's no good, it's a new washer. I'll try LG next, but it's all made with the same stuff, it seems.
@@ToddEdmondson unfortunately it seems most modern appliances are meant to be replaced instead of repaired. I was having that conversation with my grandfather a few weeks ago. He recalled having a local “appliance repairman” up until the late 1990’s- early 2000’s. Now there is no one within an hour and a half drive who specializes in that work.
My turn. Probably my toddlers sock got sucked in. Now I'm waiting for samsung to set up a date to fix it. But if I can find a video to help me unf**k it. It'll be cheaper.
If it’s not under warranty, I’d try fixing it myself before paying a repairman. Easiest thing to do is gently lay it over so you can access the bottom. There will be a flexible drain line (normally black) with a clamp on the ends. Take that off and make sure there’s not a sock in it. That’s exactly what was wrong with mine in the video. Unfortunately I no longer have the washer or I’d post a step by step for you.
It shows a possible cause of a common error code on a lot of Samsung front load washing machines. This issue renders the machine unusable, and happens so often that many people do not want to pay for a service call for a tech to come out and fix the problem. This video shows the parts that caused the issue, possible causes (a kids sock in my case), and how to fix it. While there is not a step by step breakdown of removing and reinstalling the hoses, it should be intuitive. If it is not, we highly recommend calling someone more capable of completing the repair. Best regards- Nate
