We went in mid September so they were just coming out of winter. It was definitely a bit colder although the advantage was that it was pretty quiet around!
Appreciate itinerary! On kayaking, did you have to take the ferry to the refuge camp or did you start on the side of hotel lago grey? Currently it seems I have to take the ferry first which is almost 200 dollars
Hey! For the kayaking, it was all done from Hotel Lago Grey. If you're looking for the specific operator that did it, look for KSF Adventures. This works well if you're staying the night at Hotel Lago Grey, or can drive to the hotel in the morning.
Hi so I was thinking of flying to Punta Arenas and staying at a hotel and rent a car to travel around… is that doable or should I sign up with a travel guide group?
Yeah for sure! I think I would’ve loved to do a full on trek but this was a different take on seeing Torres del Paine which I actually didn’t mind because I got to such a variety of things and see the park from so many different vantage points.
