I honestly think it really ruins the competition tho allow music that isn't played live. Yes, microphones on some instruments make sense, but just just a recording being played makes no sense.

It's just lyrics. Lyrics don't get judged anyway. Plus it wouldn't make sense for this show to not have lyrics. Lyrics adds spice.
