This is the most soothing song to me.
This track come up on a Spotify playlist a few days ago with Tycho and Bonobo and instantly caught my attention. Much like our misguided friend @tokenblackaspie I assumed this had to be a Nordic producer/group. But when I hear songs like this I check out wikipedia and dig down a bit and sure enough the mastermind behind this is Joe Corrales Jr. from LA, CA USA. The vocalist whom I would have sworn was from Norway is from Seattle.
This sounds like a silk! So beautiful!
Love it. Anomie Bell's voice is beautiful: an unusual mix of ethereal and soulful. Perfect for Joe's tunes!
It's not unusual anymore, for sure. People have copied the indie girl sound so much it's ubiquitous.

What's with the part after 2:19 ? I've yet to find someone who transcribed that, or I'm too dumb to hear it properly.

This track is amazing. from 1:52 to 2:16 it sounds like she says "Come now, guess the end to what you're about to see". If I am right that is some of the most powerful lyrics I have heard in a while. Ninja Tune for life.

Seven years later, the mystery remains. Understood so appreciate? I have no idea what she's singing. The understand and understood parts are pretty clear but what about the "i-shi-a"? I thought maybe "preciate". All she can could be the answer too but I can't hear the c in can.
