I love your creativity, Rose! And, are u kidding? Of course, I want to see parts 2-7. If you want to make that many. Be my guest! Have an excellent week! I hope you Mom is on her way to becoming all the way better now!
Okay, now I need foam clay. You're not helping my craft supply addiction, Rose. 😂 The foam clay painting would be a fun way to decorate the cover of a sketchbook . The clay pot is my favorite. 😍 Part 2 please!
I have never used foam clay and yet I am also obsessed in it, just because I watch your videos. I have soooooooo much polymer to use. I bought an 80 colour set for a project and then decided to start with just white clay and never actually used the original. Then, I decided for a low buy 2024 and bought some more clay before the end of December, so I would be good for clay this year. I still haven't used it :-P This is why I haven't yet tried foam, but I really really really want to. It is so pretty. 😍 Your nail color is so gorgeous today :)
Thank you! I also have a small polymer hoard that I'm sure I will get obsessed with when I finally get around to it, but I try to use the foam cuz it dries out fast, but then I buy more and have to use it.... it's a ridiculous cycle
These are such fun ideas! For the little cookie cutter thingies I wonder if using an exacto knife or something similar would help get the clay out without ruining the shape. 🤔 Can't wait to see the other foam clay projects you did!
Would love to see more for sure !! I’ve never wanted to work with foam clay before but you make it look SO fun. The squiggles on the planter made me think of the flowers in the sky in SpongeBob for some reason lol
I love this, Rose! I found your channel a couple of months ago and have since binged your entire video library 😊. I love your commentary lol. You are so funny 😅. Thanks for all the love you put into your art and your channel ❤
This looks so fun and I’m definitely here for a part 2 and 3. Someone might of already suggested, but with your stampers, dust the clay and stamper in corn flour, plus after you stamp it, pop it in the freezer for a little bit, then de-mould it. Works for polymer so might work for that?
I love the bowl, painting and planter! They all turned out so cool. I’ve seen abstract foam clay paintings before. They are so cool! I would LOVE to see the remaining parts of the clay series. 💜💜💜
The planter looks so modern and artsy ! Although the pink squiggles do look a little bit like brains.... The rainbow painting is very cute as well, it needs a frame :3 looking forward to part 2 !
I love the idea of clay on canvas! Nerdecrafter did one in her latest Buy or DIY video. The pastel colours you used are so soothing! One of the hobby chains near me sells Paint by Numbers with foam clay kits by a brand called OKTO. They even have kits based on famous artworks. I think it could be really cute to make 3D artwork versions of some your drawings from your Create This Book series :)
@@RoseRequinCrafts You're welcome ;p Lol I often have wayyyy more ideas than time to do them. I end up with a lot of small pieces of foam air dry clay from the kids groups I run, I am thinking I could make miniature artworks with them, turn them into magnets perhaps. Perhaps another idea for you? I know Kmart (Australia) sells DIY paintable canvas magnets that could be perfect. Foam clay is light so the magnet *might* be strong enough. I definitely want one of those extruder tools! They look like fun :)
These are so colourful and fun. I have used foam clay before and find that if you put it in a mold and then stick it in the freezer for a couple of hours it firms up and comes out of the mold really easily and well.
These are so much fun! I tried foam clay a while ago, and I think a black and white cat was not a good starting project. It was a very strange looking fingerprint covered dirty white and grey cat-type creature of nightmares. I don't know what to do to get rid of the fingerprints. Then I was gifted a polymer clay kit to make a penguin. Black and white again. Weirdly the penguin is easier because polymer clay can be cleaned with acetone. Still not great. Next I want to make a shark in both clays but I want to be comfortable with the medium first. And I need to choose a shark...
That's so weird. I've never had fingerprints indented into my foam clay stuff, but I've definitely had a few batches of clay that turned my hands the color of the clay or stained the other clay. In that case I just paint it. If its just indented and not discolored, you could varnish it, but sometimes I really like the matte look of the clay.
Really interesting video and will be waiting to see the other projects that you cre8ed from the foam clay. Til next tyme...keep those cre8ive juices abrewing!!!
I really like that canvas idea... I have a lot to get through before I could experiment with clay on canvas, but I'm putting a pin in this idea. Even wrote it down with an alarm so I don't forget it. 😂😂😂
Me, with every craft ever. 🤣 But honestly you're so talented I could see you doing so many cool things. Can you please just start your RUclips career already?!?
0:10 I def am tempted by your obsession to try it out for myself and maybe have my own new obsession😂😂😂 so excited to see what you get up to today! ❤❤❤
You could try to put the pieces you haven't used yet under a damp paper towel or a baby wipe and it should keep it from drying out so fast. Your artworks all came out absolutely gorgeous, my favourite was the planter, so cute!
Hi Rose I'm a cake decorator. we use those plunger tools with fondant and the extruder with fondant , gum paste, and you name it. The plunger can be finicky even with their intended purpose . So usually dip the plunger in powdered sugar, then shake it off a bit . I wonder if you dip the plunger in corn starch if that will help with the stickiness .
I liked all of these. Maybe you could do a sketchbook cover like how you did your canvas, but leave some parts blank ( Just book cover without clay) The planter is very cute. At first I thought you were going to make it into a brain😅
If using molds or using the cutter, put them in the freezer to freeze them before removing them. Once removed leave it some where safe to defrost and add to project then allow to air dry.
Ooh, those look like fun things to make. I'm not sure the finished objects would fit my style, but sometimes arts & crafts is more about the making than the end result anyway =) I look forward to seeing what else you made =P
You have the same problem with the snakes drying out when you use fondant. But you totally got the hang of it pretty quick! You just have to work in small sections and while you’re extruding a snake, after you cut it off if it’s uneven in spots, you can just roll it with your hands softly on the table and get it to even out or at least you can with sugar paste. One of my favorite plates is the one that looks like three dots in a triangle. Try that one and then once it’s out of the tube twist it evenly and you get a rope that’s really even and pretty 👌🏻🫶🏻🩷
I think they all turned out great!! 🤗😍 A bit of glue and glitter might make the canvas art more to you liking? 🌈 That bowl is so much better than the paper one!! 👏👏 Cute way to decorate the little face cup!! 💞
Have you tried putting a damp cloth or paper towel over the extruded clay to keep it from drying out? No idea if this would work for foam clay but my mother did that with her ceramic clay.
I have done other things with foam clay in previous videos that weren't snake shapes, and the rest of the things I made weren't either, but I felt like the 3 I showed were different enough that it was worth showing them all and it's an easy enough shape to replicate. A part 2 would be different.
I love your creativity, Rose! And, are u kidding? Of course, I want to see parts 2-7. If you want to make that many. Be my guest! Have an excellent week! I hope you Mom is on her way to becoming all the way better now!

I never promised to be a good influence 🤣
Sealing the bowl and planter with varnish really made them pop!! So cute😊 parts 2 and 3 yes please
😁
I love a good pastel rainbow color scheme, but the planter stole the show! Yes to a part 2 (and beyond)! 😊💗
Aww! Thank you! 🥰
My fave project is the planter. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.😊
Every time I watch one of your videos, I have to remind myself that I don’t need a new hobby
🤣🤣🤣 Oops
Bring it on, we'll be watching!
Yay!
love the planter! 😍
Thank you!
I love how the planter turned out! it's somehow reminding me of Spongebob and the funky flowers on the show.
Yes! Someone else said that. I can totally see it.
I thought that too! It’s the squiggles!

Yay!
Another great job!
Thank you so much! 🥰
I didn't even know foam clay was a thing until recently and now you've made me desperately want to try it!!! 😍
I love it so much. Its like playing with Play-Doh, but then you can actually keep your creations instead of mixing them all together in to poo-doh.
same
I love your excitement over making these things. Had a blast watching you stick all these clay snakes in different shapes! Keep up the creativity

I just love the projects that you do. I'm going to try to recycle tin cans into planters using foam clay for decoration. Keep the videos coming.
I bought some foam clay today. It's a tiny amount and the tub is so great I needed it. Needed needed hehe
Looks so fun

@@RoseRequinCrafts yes I'm getting there... I have some help finally. 😅
Most foam clay can be frozen to firm it up enough so you can use the plunger cutters!!
I didn't know that until today. I had never heard of it. Thats such a good tip!
Hiya your projects were amazing, thank you for sharing.
I have a slight obsession with your nail polish color. Love it!!
Thank you! Its BepBep Blue and Polar Princess from Holo Taco
What a great way to use foam clay!

What foam clay did you use? I'm trying to get into it for small projects, and this video sparked my interests!
I linked one from Amazon in my description, but I've tried a few different ones. I just get a kit with a bunch of colors from Amazon.
Love this ❤❤❤
Have you tried putting a damp cloth or paper towel over the extruded clay to keep it from drying out? No idea if this would work for foam clay but my mother did that with her ceramic clay.
I haven't but I'll definitely try that
Maybe you could try to put one ply of a napkin on the clay first, then cut it out and see what that does. I would be curious to see!
I think the plunger cutters might work if you used a blade to remove the clay
Good idea! I will try it.
Very cute… minus the part when the remaining projects are held for ransom😂….i have paid the bribe. Hoping to see the rest soon 😊
🤣
For the plunger cutters, maybe if you use clay that is a bit older? Not eo fresh and sticky
Ooh! That's a very good thought. I'm gonna try that out. I have plenty of drier clay.
I tried foam clay in a silicone wing mold….i had to wait for it to dry before i could get it out 😝
Yep, I have noticed that. 😀
👍👍

Yes!
I have this big bucket of all black foam clay I use to make costume stuff. It's very very sticky.
Yes! It stays moist for sooooo long.
Had to pause the to come and tell you that 3 minutes absolutely is a phase 😂
🤣
You should have sanded off the nose of the planter! Then it would have been a smoother work surface.
Probably..... but I wasn't feeling THAT motivated. 😁
As a member of modge podge commite i can say that modge podge is glue XD
Yes! I'm in with the big guns!
@@RoseRequinCrafts i am pretty sure that the container even says Glue varnish XD atleast in those versions i use says that
