I have to admit this is one of the best hilarious episodes on The Lucy Show, I was dying the first time I saw this episode it was so funny how Carol's reactions on the airplane 🤣
Two seminal TV stars, a generation apart. Lucy's first series was the most important situation comedy in television history; Carol's show was the last major traditional, full-scale variety series on network TV. This is good stuff.
I saw Carol Burnett at a Q&A around 5 years ago. Someone asked her how she handles when people say women can't be funny. She said she never let it bother her. Then she listed women who came before her and said, "Of course Lucy set the bar high for all of us."
So Marion from Better Call Saul was a singing flight attendant 60 years ago?! So great that Carol Burnett is still performing and mentoring younger performers the way Lucille Ball mentored her! Who else can say that she’s worked with both iconic actors Lucille Ball and Bob Odenkirk! May Better Call Saul be just the beginning of Carol’s comeback!
I wish I could find it again, it was so many years ago I saw a Carol Burnett sketch where she is a passenger flying economy and it was so different from first class, and she had noticed and tried to peak through the curtain. Anyway, at the end the pilot announced that the economy class should get off the plane, which they did, then the pilot came on and told the first class passengers they would be landing in 10 minutes. lol If anybody knows where I can find that, I'd be very grateful.
Think you are talking about the No Frills Airlines sketch. Harvey Korman was in first class and Tim Conway was in the no frill seat section. It’s a great sketch, but hard to find.
Excuse me, why would u post such a unnecessary comment...trust me, no one is interested in what comes across ur news feed. This skit is classic on so many levels, obviously u need a bit of laughter... smh 😢
I love this! The queens of comedy ❤❤❤❤❤
It’s so wonderful to see these two incredible professionals
Love, love this! Singing a church song without feeling they're offending anyone! Thank GOD!!! Love those two amazing actresses of Hollywood

@MStay lit It's from Lucy's show in the 1960s. Carol got her own variety series in 1967.
@MStay lit The Family.
@MStay lit Don't know. Lucy and Carol were good friends. I think Lucy guested on Carol's show.
@MStay lit Ed (Harvey Korman) to Mama (Vicki Lawrence): Don't push me, old lady.
@MStay lit My favorite "Family" sketch is when everyone tried to play "Sorry!" together. It didn't work.

Whoever doesn't love Lucy has no sense of humor. Miss Ball was in a class of her own. Everyone else comes 2nd.
I would like the accordionist's number.
Finally Lucy in 4K
Can I be in the show now Ricky

I have a better question how the heck did anything with Lucy ever come across your news feed?

More cornball humor, slapstick and over-acting.
SMH, hey sour puss...u need a good old-fashioned belly laugh & these ladies certainly provide the opportunity.
