The city flourished over the centuries because of the wine trade. It is known to be the capital of wine because of having 60 appellations, 7000 winemakers, and being a home to the oldest vineyard. It’s not only a center of exquisite wineries but it’s also surrounded with profound villages to roam around as well and is flooded with culture, art and much more. The best part about this city is it’s walking friendly so you don’t have to rent a car for sightseeing.

My mother was born and raised there in the 30s 40s and 50s. Had the opportunity to spend time there in 1996. Stunningly beautiful.

Bordeaux has the look and feel of a warmer, sunnier Paris. All that 18th century stone and river-setting, you could be forgiven for thinking the first few Parisian arrondissements had been dragged 200 miles south. Bordeaux clearly is lovely; open, but with a manageable feeling of ‘see all my important bits in a day’. All it really lacked was a core of tightly packed narrow streets opening out onto a few squares and perhaps a nice Plaza Mayor centrepiece. Everything seemed like I was wandering around the French version of Edinburgh’s New Town when I wanted a bit of tumbledown Old Town magic too!

Can’t go because of her voice . Like the barista in louder milk on Netflix

The narrator has an incredibly annoying “valley girl” intonation. Very difficult to listen.

Had to stop after the pronunciation of ‘Bordow’ and ‘winemakerrrrrrrs’ with a vocal fry so obnoxious it makes Julia Fox sound like she’s had elocution lessons from Stephen Fry.

American pronounciation of French words is annoying. It is respectful to learn the correct pronounciation

Exactly! Uggh! Annoying! But I love Bordeaux! I even learned the real pronunciation of places and things so I can fully respect the place, the people, etc.

It’s also respectful to understand that prononciation of other languages can be very difficult. She could be trying very hard, give some credit.

Great video but the accent is not good I’m sorry I don’t want to be rude or disrespectful but that accent is the most annoying and winey I couldn’t finish the video because of it

She doesn’t even cover the best parts of Bordeaux. It’s a video on places and she can’t even pronounce the names of those places. Obviously they got a UCLA coed to read a script. Vocal fry and all.
