SPOILERS (don't read if you didn't watch):
    ---
Even though I love Leo, it was really great to see Tweek overcome him solidly this tournament, showing that his hard work and practice paid off (he's always either practicing on stream or offstream, labbing, theorycrafting, or coaching to help others improve), and that the past statistics of set scores does not determine what you can achieve in the future. Inspiring stuff, and well deserved!

For real though. Watching Game 4 Leo take Evo was like watching dreams die. Then Tweek comes back with a vengeance and 6-0s Leo. I'm so damn proud even if he played Solo Diddy. I'm starting to think his PT would never be able to do what he did today.

Really. *Amazing* ? From "top to bottom" you were literally "amazed"? By everything? By even the more lukewarm of the skits? Or some of the more poorly thought out, fumbling side events? Really? Jeez… we really do overreach for the top shelf with our words these days. The hyperbole and sycophantic gushing is crazy.
To quote Dwight Shrute, this whole event was "Good, not great". Just kinda… meh.
If I was trying to get a friend into Ultimate, I would *not* tell him to watch this milquetoast broadcast. Definitely not.
Now if you were talking about the recent Melee one, Smash Summit 11, I would _completely_ understand your choice of words. That was a tournament rich in both storylines and suspense.
Because of how crazy that one was, I went into this Ultimate Summit excited - with an open mind and high expectations. Every day. Again and again and again. Every video/stream I earnestly wished to enjoy the experience; and that steadfast desire in the end overshadowed how much enjoyment I ultimately felt. It all just came out feeling… hallow in comparison. Kind of like playing Ultimate after a heart-pounding Melee session.
So in the end, all this Summit did was make me appreciate Smash Summit 11 even more.
And I sincerely wish that wasn't the case.

I completely agree with Ben’s comment on every level. In response to the other comments- there are many reasons you could not be a Tweek fan, just like there are many reasons you could not be a fan of any player. I’m not (or at least wasn’t) a big Tweek fan because of his mentality issues from before this big offline COVID hiatus. He also just in general from his content seems like a lot less of humble guy than Leo and some other top players. That’s just scratching the surface, though. I personally prefer watching Mexican and Japanese players than American players; maybe that’s part of why Ben isn’t as much of a fan either. But this performance WAS downright inspirational and makes me more of a Tweek fan than I was before.

Tweek and Leo showed they were still at the top while the newer generation who people questioned on whether they were just wifi warriors really showed they could fight at this level.

Diddy Kong is one of those characters with a really high skill cap. You have to understand the fundamentals, item play, match ups, and you have to capitalize off of reads a lot more than other characters. If you don't make use of everything that Diddy has to offer, he's maybe mid-high tier. I really think that Tweek has been able to pilot Diddy well enough to make Diddy be top tier but also win a major. Congrats to tweek
