The Lincoln Continental is a series of mid-sized and full-sized luxury cars produced by Lincoln, a division of the American automaker Ford Motor Company.
Elegant, effortlessly powerful and serene, the Lincoln Continental Concept signals the future of quiet luxury and the all-new full-size sedan coming next year.

The only reason I changed my mind about Ford/Lincoln. They made great sedans, and still do! They sell many sedans including a new Taurus in China. The fact that they allowed the market and economy kill a body staple is sad. Audi all the way now.

Whenever I see a Lincoln sedan of any model, I always think of my grandfather, and my aunt. Grampa drove Continentals through the 60’s. He was a plant manager for Ford, he had a new lease every year. And my aunt had a beautiful, HUGE, orange Town Car. We all loved going to the drive in with her because sitting on the back seat was like relaxing on a sofa. God help you if you got any hot dog on her velour.

If the build quality of this Lincoln would be good, I absolutely think it can compete with the German brands and offer a unique alternative to the rather common Mercedes Benz and BMW models....The Lincoln looks really nice and is rather impressive. @texaswildcat2000 Yikes. I WAS HIGHLY considering buying a low mileage 2019 or 2020 Reserve edition of this car. It had several problems? Electronics, metal fatiguing, emissions issues, etc?? The Lincoln MKZ has mostly been a great car for most consumers that have gotten 150,000 miles out of their MKZ. I was HOPING that maybe this Continental would be just a step up from the MKZ line. The MKZ has had the push button transmissions with no issues & that push button (obviously being electronic) scares me. But when you say emissions issues that REALLY scares me about considering buying me one.
I WILL 100% ask the dealership to have their mechanic check & run ALL the codes on the car in front of me before me purchasing. If they can't do that or are not willing to run the codes in front of me, then they can sell their used Continental to the next sucker.

The best Lincoln. Make it again! Lincoln got it right, and because people wanted a lifted station wagon, the best car they ever did, died an unfortunate death. It comes down to numbers, and the fickle customer. Sedans don't make it. The SAAR, and other factors said this car was not a success. But to drive and own this. Long drives, and comfort, and luxury that is tasteful, and a stunning great looker. The first car made in America that said you arrived. I like at least as much if not more than, the Cadillac V series. This car had that much of an effect on me. I told friends if you don't at least drive this Lincoln, you are missing out. They had some issues too and they were deeply discounted as dealers could not move them. This particular iteration is absolutely stunning although I’d choose a different interior color. The interior shots are incomprehensible due to being out of focus or ultra close-ups. The only thing I could make out was that executive writing desk in the rear seat area, a sure-fire kiss of death in the American market. (Name one car with this conceit that has survived.) Americans wanting big luxury sedans have a built-in prejudice against all American cars, and consider only high-end German models worth leasing (only a fool would buy one).
The best luxury sedan on today’s market, better than S Class, is Jaguar’s 5L variant of the XJL sedan. But because Jaguar has been unable to shake its reliability issues dating back to the 70s, that manufacturer has discontinued the XJ model. You can buy a very nice used one in the USA for under $20k. If Jaguar’s electrified SUVs don’t sell, and they won’t, owner Tata Motors will probably close the doors in 2023.

The show car was fantastic looking. The production car, even if really looked like the prototype, lacked its visual drama, and was sadly, bland.
The reason Lincoln doesn't sell sedans anymore in the USA is because, they're not competitive and people don't buy them enough to be worth it as a business case. They get more profits selling SUVs

Ford is doubling down on a car that has no market and I kind of love that. The car is absolutely gorgeous and dare I say better looking than anything coming from Germany or England. However the problem with this car is that it's too expensive for normal people who would love to own it and would appreciate it. Yet it's too cheap and lacking of pedigree for those who can afford any ultra luxury vehicle.
It almost reminds me of the Genesis sedans. Fantastic cars, yet no one wanted them new.
