Good morning Johnny. The look on your face said it all as you would take a sip of your wonderful refreshment. We all have to make sacrifices sometimes. Thanks for the video and GRIDDLE ON DUDE.
Great video Johnny! At 3:36 Bob Ross stole a sip from your drink. I can't wait to make that Big Mac chopped cheese. Looks like a winner! Go Browns but more importantly, go Bills!
Howdy Johnny, gotta holla for the challah bread, well worth the extra money. Still need to do the chopped cheese burger and biscuit bowl cooks. Quick story met my Sister, Brother In Law and three of their guests over New Year's weekend at my Sister's cabin in TN. Took along my 22" Blackstone Omnivore Griddle. Cooked bacon, eggs and Challah bread French Toast for them all for Breakfast. We were eating Breakfast and no one was saying a word....thought I had messed everything up. Then one of the guests said you know the food is delicious when no one is talking only eating. Thanks Johnny for your videos and simple recipes that are making people smile. Have A Day! ;~)
As always, great video. Next up for me is the chopped cheese Big Mac. I like simple meals. I did ths Bob Evans sunshine breakfast bowl last weekend. Boy was I stuffed and the wife had no complaints either. Keep on griddling.
I was a waitress in my younger years and my brother was a line cook at the same restaurant at the same time (great times ❤). I was wondering if you have ever tried WHIRL on your Campchef? I want to use it just like the restaurants do because it works so well and tastes great.. I just wasn't sure if there is a reason I don't see any flat top videos with it being used? Oh! Also - "Kroger Fast Food Style Hamburger Dill Pickle Chips".... Krogers cloned McDonald's /Chic fil-A pickles 💚
@@briansingley6109 I already looked it up 😂 "Original Whirl is 82% lower in saturated fats, and higher in monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats than butter - making it a great alternative for health-conscious customers and diners."
I use Ghee on my griddle. It’s butter with the milk solids removed. High smoke point and hard to get more buttery than butter. Can buy it at the store or make it at home.
Great looking cooks! Speaking of seltzer, I have an old fashioned soda siphon I got because I was sick of bottled seltzer going flat 11 seconds after opening the bottle. Then I remembered something from by brief stint as a fry cook in 1981. Seltzer water (unflavored) is the BEST griddle cleaner there is. I just squirt straight out of the siphon onto the hot griddle, give it a quick scrape and it’s squeaky clean! Works better somehow than regular water.
Ive tried many of your recipes throughout '23 except the biscuit bowl. Next outing we take I'm all in using my Blackstone. Sorry about your Browns yesterday. I live in Houston... so I'll just leave it at that. Thanks for sharing.
Ya the browns really laid an egg. Congratulations on your win, and I am genuinely happy for CJ. He was a nice kid and a hell of a QB who caught too much flack here in Columbus just bc he didn't beat Michigan. I hope you guys beat the ravens. Thanks for watching and definitely try the biscuit bowl.
Good video Johnny! I'll be watching TV. And nothing else till at least Monday. Won't be using my griddle for PROBABLY the next 2 months. It's a balmy 28 degrees below zero ! At that temperature I can go into a walk in freezer to warm up !! How crazy is that? THANK you Frank from Montana....
Thanks Frank. 28 below!!! Holy smokes that's crazy I don't know how you do it. Hopefully you're stocked up with wood or whatever you use to keep your place warm.
@@JohnnyBrunet thank you Johnny honestly I don't know how I do it either ! @@frankmarullo228 well it doesn't sound like fun but if your family is there then that's all that matters. I haven't seen much below zero here in Ohio either. It was around 10 today and I had 3 jackets on lol.
Awesome Vid. I can tell you're not loving that Seltzer Water. 😂 Sorry about your Browns. Texans are tough this year. I never griddled out. -20 with a -40 wind chill was just a tad bit to cold for me. Have a great rest of your weekend. Be Blessed. 😊 Shawn
@JohnnyBrunet Yeah. For a rookie. The Texans are hooked up for awhile. I'm a Broncos fan being from Colorado originally. Kinda like you and the Brown. 😆 I hope the Lions win it all. They deserve it.
I ran into Johnny out in the wild the other day and he's as genuine in person as he is on his channel. Don't forget to subscribe (it's free) and give him a thumbs up. Thanks for all the ideas Johnny!!
Johnny this is where you screwed up because today they call it dry febuary and thank God there's only 28 days in febuary but this is a leap year so it's 29 LOL😊😊
Lmao.. yes my wife and I are cleaning out our livers this month. Bad month to go dry. Way too many FB games and blizzards that would pare well with an adult beverage and something cooked on the griddle.
Another great video. Happy New Year. Saw you featured in Specialty Gas House You Tube Glad to see your associated with then. Specialty is my go to grill store when in Columbus. Go Browns and never watch them totally sober. lol
Awesome as always , had a beer for you. May go all out for you and have a tequila later. Always appreciate your videos. Would love to do a big mac chopped cheese today, but its only 2 degrees outside today and 30 mph winds.
Have you ever tried baking bread/biscuits on the griddle, with the (now more common?) grill cover lid instead of the metal bowl? Im assuming it might take longer than the metal bowl and metal rack method… but no clue. Apologies if you already covered this in some other video.
Not with the lid because my lid doesn't really make a seal. The bowl or dome as I call it makes a deal with the griddle surface keeping the heat in. Maybe some of the new ones with lids would work. I just haven't had a chance to use those griddles.

Oh ya the ribeye cheese steak is expensive but totally worth it. I wish I could take credit for the hash brown omelette but I got that from another guy who does videos. His channel is called True North Cafe. And yes finding a good bun is half the battle!
