Very good instructional for beginners. One criticism I do have, which I get and understand everybody does it different, so nobody is wrong. Forget the pencil when marking with a T-square or when preparing to do a slide cut. Pull out to your measurement, right under your tape stick your knife in the board (never above, could damage your tape), it will sit there while you reach for a T-square, then cut as normal, you'll feel a bump from where you stuck your knife in, that'll let you know absolutely you're right on your mark. Same for a slide cut, mark with knife, position hands for slide cut, stick knife blade in your mark, adjust tape so your knuckle sits on top just like the video, maintain distance and move it all to the far edge of your sheet (close to where you made your mark with the knife) then slide cut for your rip. Also ya don't need to move to the other side to snap your board, on the small end grip with your left hand, just to the right of the cut grip with your right, push with left while pulling with right (should also end up pulling it somewhat away from the wall) do it in a controlled jerking motion. Then from the white side of the board, just run your knife from bottom to top right in the center, control the knife - don't let it wobble and go crazy on you. Finish it with snapping the cut off piece back towards you, should come off like nothing. Other than that, fantastic video - but also everyone does their thing different, if it works it works.
Thanks for the vid! Funny how ingrained safety is now. While you were showing how to attach the utility blade to the tape measure, I instinctively tried to move away from the screen.
I left Aliquippa 30 years ago but I picked up that accent of yours within 15 seconds of watching this video. Great job, it was a good refresher for some Sheetrock work I have coming up.

Eric have you ver tried a wallboarders buddy cutter. It is designed to cut to length or width with the boards stacked against the wall. It measures as well. I did a whole house last year for the first time in more than twenty years and loved it.
Hey I'm a tsper and didn't get a chance to get really good at hanging, plus I'm a painter. This was great Info, Noone showed me how to hold the knife on the tape
You are good. REALLY GOOD. I agree with Dan the teacher.....Training presentation is totally professional. I appreciate your time making this video. This really helps with my project.
Okay that was an awesome video thank you. But what would you do about cutting drywall in odd shapes.? Old houses different measurements top to bottom side to side. Going up stair ways.? Thank you I subscribed
If I have an opening that is measured at 22 3/8" L x 48" H Do I subtract 1/8" on the butt joint side (22 1/4" ) to fit, or should it be more or not at all?
It’s actually just a set of padded tool belt suspenders. No safety features on them. Just used for holding up my tools. They sell them at most home centers.
You look at the camera too much... Your audio is very clear so they can hear you..... stop being a camera Hound and concentrate on the information that you are given...
People like you are working us all out of a job. Your how to videos are made for your own selfish purposes. You give away trade secrets and make homeowners think they can do this as well as someone who has put years into it. Your ruining the value of skilled labor
Very well explained and demonstrated in an extremely easy to follow and copy way, thanks, well done

Great video ! Your a great teacher! The way I needed to learn it !!!
Biggest tip is only score the drywall meaning only cut the paper don't let the blade dig into the gypsum. This will give you a clean cut.
Excellent video. Thank you for sharing your decades of experience. Subscribed.

Hi, you just need to take level and plumb measurements along with triangulation.
Dude looks like bob odenkirk
If I have an opening that is measured at 22 3/8" L x 48" H
Do I subtract 1/8" on the butt joint side (22 1/4" ) to fit, or should it be more or not at all?
Slam em tight bud
Don't over think it.
Hang the drywall tight together, any gaps will be filled in with mud. Any imperfections can be fixed no problem.
Best 👍
Cool 😎🤣😁
Nice beginner lines for screwing off the field lol
How much you charge per hour?
Where did u get that harness

If your finger burns while you score, you're doing it right 👆
My knees always burned but only felt the next day, mostly Sunday and Monday morning.

If ur layout is done properly. YOU WONT BE BUTTING CUT ENDS! always butt factory edges.
Drywall sucks. Bottom of the barrel work. All construction sucks really.
Kraken wood floor service Mcmahon your right but my pension is nice.
I suck too.. just being honest.

Yup... no shortage of work for drywallers right now though!
