IT'S FINALLY HERE!! I've been working on this video for so long that I'm relieved it's over! (I finished the script in October and it's already NOVEMBER)
I'm currently in school again so idk when my next video will be out. I might try to stream again in btwn my next youtube video i upload (though i still don't know what exact video idea I'll pursue first; it might be spoiler-free review of an anime i enjoyed or i might make a theme-specific long video like this one. we'll see!)

Note: These are my thoughts on the ANIME ONLY (the manga chapters about what occurs had not come out yet at the time i was working on this video; so yea more info comes out in the manga that is missed in the anime version! I'm only talking about the anime for this video!!!)

SIGMA thought that Dazai's sacrifice was genuine and selfless. That's the most important part.
I think Asagiri has already made the next few arcs, he's just releasing them monthly because he's a sadist.
Not sure if you're a manga reader, but shit has gotten inSANE since Season 5 Finale... Those who are now questioning if they should watch it, *watch it* because I can promise you it'll be worth your time. There's a lot more to the finale and it doesn't end as easy as you'd think.
No spoilers but does Atsushi get powerful or remain as a ragdoll. No spoilers pls
@@molcanic_el He hasn’t had many moments since left off from the anime yet. I will avoid major spoilers but there will be a moment where he kind of gets to show off that’s actually foreshadowed at the end in the anime.

one thing, we don't know if dazai and chuuya actually left sigma in mersault... we don't see them leaving at all so they could've gone back to get him before heading back to yokohama
very true! he could've asked chuuya to go check on him if he was worried he needed medical attention tho... since he was SO sure of his plan lmao. i guess he brought chuuya for backup in case things went wrong, but still sigma could be possibly dead or in a coma anyways so who knows. just wanted to point out a criticism i heard online! (i'm more on the fence about this critcism but i wanted to tackle it in the video anyways; i don't think it's that bad that sigma was left in the prison)
I definitely agree with the criticism you brought up. I genuinely love BSD to bits, but it definitely has its issues, that of which been most prevalent in season 5. My biggest gripes being the constant fake outs and, like you said, a lack of stakes. (They probably got stabbed into Bram) I get using a fake death here and there , but it’s gotten ridiculous at this point. Even when I first watched the finale I told myself that there’s no way fyodor was dead. Here’s hope for the next arc to have consequences from the events of this season.
Edit: you’re idea for Dazais alternate death was also what I thought would have happened. (Obviously I don’t want him to die) it would’ve worked so well and would’ve given Chuuya something to do and provided interesting dynamics with Sigma, Nikolai, and Fyodor.
I also hope the next arc has more consequences!! yes, i agree!! even if i don't want dazai to die, plot-wise it would've been a great consequence and a way to allow chuuya to contribute to the plot more! thanks for the comment!! love to hear feedback!
Liked the video a lot and agree with all your takes, but...i just don't care about stakes in BSD, i just want all of them to get Ls, I don't want any of them to die, i love them all, seeing them win is my dopamine hit.
I was in kind of a dark place when this episode aired and it just broke me, even though i saw some of the same flaws you pointed out i just cried and cried lol, so for me, the emotional punch of the series was definitely present in the finale.

i really want to know whats going on w fyodor. i genuinely dont understand him like wtf is his ability?? i think he can control when he activates his ability because im pretty sure he touched nikolai while they were in mersault (when nikolai grabbed fyodors hand and was like i missed u bestie!!) and what if fyodors ability isnt just to kill others with one touch, what if its to like drain others life force and add it to his own?? 😭😭😭 that would explain why he NEVER AGES and could maybe explain fyodor’s potential revival. idk but i cant wait for the manga chapters next month because i need to know what is going on!!
