    Map Camera! I’ve never been there but I’ve bought a few lenses from them and also a Topcon 35-S rangefinder camera with a terrific 44mm fixed lens.

      @@johnnys2682 I believe map camera does, but you need to go through this company buyee.jp that kinda buys for you then ships to you, just go to mapcamera.com and see how it works.

    With all the traditional coffee shops, you go to a Starbucks??? Neat trip on the camera front though.

      On Guam we do not have StarBucks, it was Bert's first time to Japan, so I wanted to show him the StarBucks Tokyo Reserve :)

      @@GuamPhotography AHH what a shame, there's some great traditional coffee shops that prepare coffee how it should be, not some frothy, syrup laden kids drink as in SB.

      @@LEgoiste Yes I know what you mean haha, I drink my coffee black every morning :) but at times I do get the sugary "coffee" drinks, I will visit these kinda coffee shops next time :) I maybe going back late May early June.

    Hi Guys, Can I ask if buying a camera at MAP camera is tax-free for tourists?, thank you

    • @GuamPhotography
      @GuamPhotography  4 месяца назад

      Yes, make sure you have your passport on you, from what I know anything over $100 at Map Camera you will have no tax, so it’s tax free, I think they log your passport down, and you only have to worry about declaring it when you arrive back at your origin country.

    kITAMURA is known for being pricey... you won't be disappointed

    • @GuamPhotography
      @GuamPhotography  Год назад +1

      Yes, when I was looking at the prices, Map Camera had better prices, but I did find on their website, they give 6 months of warranty, and have their own camera repair service, so maybe thats the premium you pay, having a 6 month warranty on a used camera, they did have nicer cameras than Map Camera though haha :)

      Does the store have the full Nikon latest Z mount lenses available to buy as here in Ireland we can't get Z400mmf2.8 lens as on permanent back order.

    • @GuamPhotography
      @GuamPhotography  Год назад

      @@NikCan66 I sadly didnt fully check into the Nikon Z mount mirrorless system, I am not sure if Japan, since Nikon is actually from there, lol, has the 400mm 2.8 in stock, I think the only way is to give them a call if you plan to travel to Japan to purchase the lens.

      @@GuamPhotography oh definitely!. There are plenty of places that have better prices... but you will be spoiled for choice!
      Kitamura is definitely the better choice for options... Just wish they weren't so expensive.. check out "Japan Camera hunter" he has a video that goes through a lot of the shops in Tokyo.

      @@NikCan66 I wish i could answer that... when i was there last "Z" was just starting. if you wave $14k USD at some for that beautiful Lens someone will find one for you.
