Ride behind 43073 TGS at the Colne Valley Railway VP185 Thrash 08/05/2023

Here are a selection of videos from our 125 Heritage running day at the Colne Valley Railway on the bank holiday monday 08/05.2023. (Including some videos from the morning prep and shunting in the evening) As I was the HST guard on the running day I used my time to set my camera up in the TGS coach to get some videos in the background. (As well as some engine room footage)
This video includes a couple of trips down the line with 43073's Paxman VP185 power unit doing the business, sounding excellent with some clag for good measure! The video also includes the two new Power Cars that have recently joined the CVR. Earlier this month we welcomed 43023 and 43165 to the 125 Heritage fleet. Both Power Cars were open for static display durign the running day and will restored to running condition. Sit back, relax and enjoy some classic EMR HST Paxman VP185 thrash!

About Us at 125 Heritage : 125 Heritage are a group of volunteers based at the Colne Valley Railway in Essex. We are passionate about the Inter-city 125 vehicles and the iconic power cars. These were built in the late 1970’s and are credited with saving British Rail who at the time had a bad reputation. They were a marvel of British engineering but their time has finally come for them to retire.
Our aim is to preserve and maintain a small fleet of ex British Rail Inter-City 125 vehicles for use at the railway. The vehicles will be used for dining and special running days. The vehicles are air conditioned and there is a full kitchen vehicle which will provide a unique experience for visitors.
