Hi everyone! This lesson is a bit of a continuation from my previous video. It's why I kept the theme of a lizard/dinosaur head going because it just offers so much reptilian awesomeness. I hope you enjoy.
You know, if I ever start on the novel I want to write, I would for sure base a lot of my speculative biology creatures in your drawings. Some of them are just so anatomically amazing!
You should totally do a full video on different eye types in graphite and get into some fine detail with the eye and eye socket! The eye is so important like you said in this video and you make the creature look so real right from the beginning just from the eyes!
Just recently I found your channel and I love your content. There is a lot artists, I think of all levels, can take away to improve from what you show and explane... you're are really helping people with this, so thank you so much for doing this!!!
I have always been more drafting pencils and ink because I don't like traditional pencils. I like always having a fine point. It took several years to learn how to properly shade with mechanical. I started using a graphite stick holder (mix between mechanical/traditional pencil) in college. It solved the sharpening issue and I can have an extended tip to help with shading.
You should have a go drawing a paleo accurate dinosaur or prehistoric animal I think it would be really cool to see a feathered raptor or something in your style
My Hubby intro'd me to mech pencils when I was getting frustrated with not being able to get the level of detail that I wanted with my regular pencils. That said, I still reserve them for only the fine details.
Shading just takes practice over and over again. Designing something needs reference and once you look at enough reference, you can start inventing things from your imagination because your brain has the correct images to pull from.
Both. I've always liked listening to music while drawing but if I'm painting something for work that needs intense concentration, my living room is absolutely silent.
I have been wanting to draw like this for most of my life, i didnt seem to be makking anny progress for years so i kinda adopted something a little closer to comic styles. I want to be able to draw like this soo bad, since you mentioned that you would help annyone who asked for help, i have to ask for you to please help me to improve my drawings. I have a youtube channel where you can see most of my work, please check it out and help me to improve???

45:05 No kids, dont stab other people with pins 😂
seeing something created from scratch will never be boring, i love it
Even when I draw other things and just listen, these videos are basically podcasts, so much valuable information.

The humility and passion with which you display your work makes me want to cry. You give me hope that I can make it as an artist. Thank you!

When google images of animals and creatures fail to find the right reference, it seeks Bobby's memory archives.
Deciding what to put in your portfolio is sooo difficult. I'm not doing comics or such, but it's still difficult to decide.
Do you paint digitally also? Would love to see a Digital Painting tutorial from you.😀
Yes I do!
Hi! I’m new hire, probably you already said that, but do you create your drawings from your imagination or you have some comics or films or whatever?
What’s the artist name you mentioned? Thera Widladge. 😅 can’t find it.
Terryl Whitlatch
How would you draw teeth that overbite the top/bottom jaws with the mouth open?
Did you start with reference drawing to work on your shading? Or did this always come from your imagination?

@@bobbyrebholz2183 Very well put-thanks. You are a great teacher!
it's like Bob Ross asmr but he's now encouraging my ass to draw scary stuffs
I just went into the city and bought me some 4B pencils - creatures, here I come 😀
That's awesome! Have you joined the Discord? We'd love to see some sketches.
@@bobbyrebholz2183 I have to admit, that I downloaded the Discord app on my iPad, but I had no idea how to approach the app and gave up 🙈
Question, do you work in complete silence on your own or do you listen to something?
Both. I've always liked listening to music while drawing but if I'm painting something for work that needs intense concentration, my living room is absolutely silent.
@@bobbyrebholz2183 im the same, idk, I was curious
