Although he's not a fashion icon, Giannis Antetokounmpo would be my choice. After reading a biography written about him, I was impressed by his story. For example, he wore the same pair of sneakers for the first half of his rookie year. When his coach asked why he was wearing broken-down shoes when he was provided with new ones each game, he found out that Giannis was sending all the sneakers to his brothers in Greece. He was also sending all of his money to his family, to the extent that he wasn't eating enough to put on weight and muscle. Before the NBA, he endured poverty, homelessness, and racism in Greece. He also seems like such a nice, humble guy.
My recommendation is Robert Pattinson he is young and popular. But he is a modern gentlemen imo. He also has no social media, he has amazing style and takes his work seriously.
I cannot say I have known much about Robert Pattinson since I went to see Twilight when I was 12 😂 But I appreciate your recommendation and will look more into him!
@@Gent.Zcan't tell about others. But David Beckham is truly the best inspiration. He is a G and dresses like one. I never seen any arrogant clips of him. Plus he's married to his wife unlike his other football counterparts except for Messi . I recommend him too

Great video. I'd love to see you talk about Robert Downey Jr. He's such a dapper gentleman, and he does an amazing job of being charismatic while also being very private. According to his costars he is a very kind person.
Thank you, Sir! A great suggestion too. Btw, I saw you joined my channel membership. Thank you for your support. Sadly it was not proving to be a very manageable idea on my part, and I decided my content should be available for everyone! So you will be receiving. a refund shortly on that.
@@johnclaybaugh9536its not about being perfect. Everyone makes mistakes, and many people have their demons. Its about how you learn from and navigate those challenges
The mexican singer Luis Miguel is the epitome of a gentleman. He’s dated Salma Hayek, Mariah Carey, Daisy Fuentes, Miss universe Alicia Machado, Sofia Vergara etc etc. but he’s always been low key and dresses impeccably.
I know you said 5 but Jason Statham should have been added as a bonus in this video. He's an elegantly well dressed man, has good manners and has that rough edge because of his physical abilities.
Being a man in his mid fifties, like Daniel Craig and Keanu Reeves, I hold these 2 men especially close to my heart in both their behaviour and sartorial style. Beckham I also like for exactly the reasons you have stated. Good video.
I just do not like his tattoo all over his body though looks unclean, generally speaking people who have tattoo are untrustworthy people , I would not employ someone in my business wearing a tattoo , period.
As i said previously one incident shouldnt overshadow his whole career or majority of his career where he has been the ultimate gentlemen and the chris rock incident shows his humanity because to be a gentleman all the time everyday isnt the easiest thing to do
You lost me at Clooney the Looney. Everyone's entitled to their political beliefs, but it is not humanly possible for anyone with a p-nis longer than a half an inch to taunt someone for having Alzheimer's disease. That's irrefutable settled science.
Next time, mix up the professions a bit more - using actors is a bit unfair as it is difficult to differentiate their screen personas from their real life can be difficult. Using athletes is more reasonable, because it is easy for a super-star athlete to reveal himself as a complete asshole, or to demonstrate grace under pressure. How about including a business leader, a politician and thinker (author or academic)?
While Beckham may be a great guy, I don't think neck and finger tattoos is an aspirational choice for gentlemen in training. His excessive tattoos distract and conflict with his great sartorial instincts.
Another great video Gent Z. All excellent examples. Beckham sealed it for me when he was interviewed, waiting for hours to pay his respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II. I see you are wearing my favourite sports coat. I have a vintage brown Brooks Brothers sports coat, and it sure gets a lot of use at this time of the year. You definitely could do more videos like this with other style icons/role models.
This list is my list as well. Kudos. I have been a fan of David Beckham since the Batch of 92 until now, I hope he gets knighted. I am more of a Cillian and Keanu but i love them all.
Lovely content my friend! I truly agree with your choices. Personaly, I prefer David Beckham, because I try to look always of is live between the years. When he was a football/Soccer player, and now he have the best tema Squad on North América. Big hug from Azores.
Ryan Gosling would be a good choice. More of a modern American Gentleman choice would be people like, Bradley Cooper, and Matthew McConaughey. Brad Pitt is also good, I like Leonardo di caprio, but more of his style and less of his habits.
Keanu Reeves is a famous actor, but he's just as famous for riding the subway and letting pregnant or older women have his seat, for pulling over on the express way and changing people's flat tires, etc. I would add to the list Shaquille O'Neal. He routinely finds people in need and buys them stoves and refrigerators, washing machines, etc. And he never asks for publicity.
I agree with your choices on this list, so I’m not trying to second - guess you, but I’m surprised to not see George Clooney in this segment. If there’s one movie actor working today who’s a modern - day Cary Grant it’s him. I hope you do a video about him sometime soon.
Good choices, particularly Roger Federer, an absolute gentleman. I have a couple of suggestions from my age group. George Clooney and Hugh Jackman are both classy.

Thank you for the video! My personal role model is Lewis Hamilton (since I'm a former sim-racer myself, I've learnt so many things from his driving that it even changed the way I view the world. So, he has a great impact on my whole life). Of course, when it comes to fashion, he prefers modern and expensive designer clothing (he's also a designer himself). But on the human side, he reminds me of Keanu Reeves, like he spends more time with his fans than all the other 19 F1 drivers together, he has founded his own charity program, showed the world how to get up after falling down while being stronger than ever before, and other amazing things. Even after winning the 7th world title, the first thing he said on the radio was "That's for all the kids out there... who dream the impossible. You can do it too man! I believe in you guys, thank you so much!". I mean, it's hard to not love this guy, especially when you know his roots and how hard it was for him to get to the top of the world through racism, lack of money and support, hard trainings, and unbelieving from his peers and teachers, what a man. Being 1 point behind from becoming the world champion in the rookie year in formula 1 is just incredible, he'll never lose my support and respect for all he's done on and off track.
I do not have any friends at all , I personally do not need total strangers in my personal life, as you know people gossip and they use their information from you against you. My close tight family is all I need in my life no judgement, we respect each other and tolerate everyone's differences in the family. Friends use you and leave you they can not get anything from you.

This might be a bit esoteric, but Georges St Pierre is definitely a modern gentleman, especially considering his line of work.

Thank you! Great suggestions
I think you should remove Will Smith from this list. I'm sure Chris Rock would agree with me.

Thank you for emphasizing HUMILITY. Very rarely anymore do we hear that word in connection with role models.
Totally agree with the list! Tom Ford would have been a good addition though!

U should have even put Cristiano ronaldo .... A man with determination , commitment and sheer willpower
Great choices. Roger Federer is top for me. I miss watching him play tennis. A true gentleman on and off the court. Cheers Ron
U should make another list with another 5
Sounds like a good plan!
Mr.Murphy did incredible job in Openhimer
I’ve enjoyed listening to Guy Ritchie’s thoughts on masculinity, dress, and overall philosophy.
Guy Ritchie definitely has some interesting thoughts on this topic. I think that could merit a whole video
Please do it, you will also have to cover Brunello Cucinelli at least superficially and why Guy is a flagbearer of the brand
This list is my list as well. Kudos. I have been a fan of David Beckham since the Batch of 92 until now, I hope he gets knighted. I am more of a Cillian and Keanu but i love them all.
Thank you! I believe it is only a matter of time before he is knighted
I'd go with Jordan Peterson and Novak Djokovic. Both men stood up to cowards at the risk of everything. All while retaining dignity, grace, and style.
Peterson is a hack
Edward Norton, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington
Denzel for sure!
Thanks for the video ! How is moving to New York, did you manage to do so ? Hope life is ok !
Cheers! Moving next week!

Fictional but Neal Caffrey in white collar for me is fantastic. Great style, charm, intelligence, elegance, and culture.

Disagree with Daniel Craig. He does dress well, so kudos to his wardrobe consultant, but he's as weak as they come.
Great work. Great choices. As a Canadian, don't want to sound like a hater, but interesting that an American does not make your list. Coincidental?
Marc Anthony, Jay-Z, Byron Allen, Idris Elba, Shannon Sharpe, Rev. Al Sharpton, Ben Crump
Cillian Murphy is around my height. So if we can look dapper, so can I.
Nice video but I think that Denzel Washington should also be on this list !
New favourite channel. Thanks, and keep up the great work 👍🏼
Only a true gentleman can scratch his balls and pick his nose and still not lose his gentleman status.
