[Typing Test] TGR Jane v2 - Cherry MX Clears - GMK 80082 (BL00)

Finally, a keyboard.
After being in the hobby for around 1 year, I have finally gotten my hands on the OG TGR Jane v2. I've yet to try any other jane besides the Jane v2 ME, which although I liked, was not my favourite board by far. This one however, scratches the itch. While waiting for my other plates to be cut, I've decided to try out these cherry clears (first time using these switches...) on the OG brass plate and it's surprisingly a lot less obnoxious than I thought it would be. I'm not the biggest fan of the cherry clears though and I can't wait to try other switches out on different plates.

What a great choice of keycaps and artisan to complement the gray/cyan Jane,, looks perfect! I got a red/gray a month ago, and also waiting until everything comes in. Already have CRP Cyrillic Red + Beige/RGB Mods for it, but low-key that might be too cliche so I'm thinking Modo 2, will be a better choice to start with. What plates did you order?

Thank you! I love the classic beige look of keycaps in general so CRP Cyrillic Red + Beige mods would look nice imo, but depending on the build maybe you can switch to GMK (cyrillic beige) or OG doubleshots (G81-3100SAV)? Not the biggest fan of how CRP sounds :') I would've loved to get some older keycap sets to throw on this board/build but its not in my budget for now hahaha
I ordered PP, PC and CF plates and they should reach me by next week! I've already harvested some retooled browns and I'll most likely build them on the PP plate on a 1.2mm PCB but I'm still contemplating if I should use the PP or PC plate for the build.
Interested to see how you decide to build yours once you have all the parts!

@@lucasweewee I love the classic look as well, I have CRPs on everything right now haha. SAV is going to be on the Jane at some point 100%, the CRPs are a stepping stone :D I always loved the look of OG double shots on a Jane, there's something about it that no other board can replicate.
Nice! Browns on PP sounds like a good idea, you should do it, would be a sick combo. I was thinking to get a CF plate, but get a CF backplate made as well to see how it compares to the CE (but if I do that it will be later on). I got some Hiney H87a PCBs from switchmod, where did you buy the 1.2mm?

The 1.2mm PCB was included from the previous owner of the Jane so I'm not sure where its from! But its also a H87a, just in 1.2mm
