fair enough, ive been following his stuff for a while and they seem ok, it just themed and some people with extra deep pockets are willing to pay it ig. theyre not bad boards, just boards with very high price tags.

yeah just specific type of boards made for a specific community of people ig

in my own experience being part of one of the buys, you are guarenteed a very high quality product with excelent machining/ano/ and overall great sound straight out of the box, not to mention the very quick turnover time for the buy, waiting months instead of years

its like how weebs will overpay for GMK Darling. kpop simps will also overpay for a Jane replica with their idol's name engraved in hangul lmao. oh and make them in low supply to induce extra FOMO. also I wouldn't say no reputation hes a controversial figure to say the least if you ask around (known flipper amongst other things)

yup, I wouldn't try fitting gmk on them

might be the factory lube job but definitely feels less tactile than the clears

I also have the mx purples and yes, they are indeed less tactile than my mx clears. I even have a much heavier spring in my clears but the mx purples are nowhere near as tactile. I believe it's due to the factory lubrication because the stems of clears and mx purples are pretty much identical from what I can see.

springs are better than hyperglides for sure. i think they could use a spring swap and a relube job but i am content enough with the way they sound/feel out of the box. no damage to crp but i would be wary of putting gmk on

rather unique! the sound lacks the cherry pop even though its in a cherry housing but i've started to enjoy the tactility of them

its not very flexy. i think its a combination of the deskmat and that im using bumpon feet instead of the geon bar feet

previous owner was definitely a smoker. its way too yellowed to be normal. i've had a couple of yellow pro 2's in the past but nothing even close to how yellow this is

you can install a 3rd party software from the taobao seller if youre okay with running a china made program on your pc. i didnt have any issues and im not too bothered by the light strip colours

really bang for your buck and its been my daily driver for the past couple of weeks at work. love it

tx ap, knight stabs, cherry clip ins in that order. i think its hard to go wrong with knight stabs in terms of tuning it well, just a really light coat of lube gets you far with it and the wires have been straight for the most part for the ones ive gotten.

gonna keep this as is! i think the unmodded aspect of it shows its age off well

go and get the plate cut! it really is worth the money and effort of resoldering a build on

yup its an aluminum external weight. not the usual brass/copper/ss but still adds to machining costs i would assume. quite a steal for a board at this price point
