Definitely NOT the cheapest… in fact, with the proper planning this house could be built far cheaper. Even if you did all the work yourself! The amount of concrete used could have been planned better and just get it delivered by a mixer truck that could have sped up your time and any labor costs you needed that day. I’m not sure where you are located but that foundation itself costs more than a regular house….
Aah! Y nadie controla las salidas...
Guess there are some seismic consideration in that region but there is a lot easier way to achieve this level of a foundation. Maybe there is no concrete plant in the region with means of delivery? Not sure why they would put a septic tank under the slab? How will they pump this out and perform maintenance if needed? What if there is a leak in the tank, soil will erode and potentially cause the floor to crack which will allow sewer gasses to escape into the living space?
It wont last long...they welded the rebar in the beams which will corrode faster as they didn't blast and zinc them...a huge no no...now that beam will be weak asfk within 4-5 years with that size rebar. I could have gotten stronger beam strength with 1/2" rebar than they did with all that 1" rebar...its a bout technique...not size...didn't your wife tell you that!!
Looks very very very solid, i like it when people invest a bit more in foundations to build for many generations to come, not only the next 50 years ... With this foundation you can also always add another level later
I helped my dad when I was 5-6 years old. I still remember the mix he used 7 sand, 2 cement, 1 lime. Keep the bricks wet. I love the start with the lining out of the house, excellent.
It is cheap because it is in northern Vietnam. The women in Vietnam often do the hardest and most dirty work in construction (Vietnamese women are tough!!!). The base construction/foundation seems overwhelmingly large because the ground is swampy, it rains a lot, the concrete is probably not 100% - and the house will probably have 3-4 stories. I had to change a faucet in my house in Vietnam, fix some lamps, and get some other things done... Price: 4 dollars - including faucet!!! I gave him 5!

This is no where a cheap budget...Huge amount of concrete... Tall foundation.... Very strong build with huge expense....
🤔 Irony 🤷🏻♂️
This is North of Viet Nam.
The architect should be fired for all the extra and unnecessary work! So much wasted space! Filling in with all that dirt was just a major waste of time, money and space! If that had been my house I would’ve sued the architect! If no architect then the contractor should be sued! My father-in-law is Vietnamese and built houses for a living. He lives in America now and says he can’t afford to build his own house, so he lives in a trailer park. I can see now why he thinks he can’t afford to build his own house, because he has been conditioned to think all that crazy hard work on the foundation is required, when it is not at all!! I feel sorry for the people that had this place built, because they were scammed!
I´m nit sure they had any architect at all. Most of the workers don´t even have propper shoes.
contractors had time to spare
This is crazy I can't get over the amount of steel they have used ,
I feel sorry for the home owners
Hello, I'm curious, why You place septic inside house? It seem to be impractical. Here (Slovakia) we have had always placed septic outside house.
Houses in city,we don’t have enough land to build septic tank outside the house
Its also highly illegal in many countries!!
Steel seems to be free. Great work
and concrete is like mud
@@summersnow2408 Vietnam is only a moderate zone for earthquakes and as such has never had anything in the magnitude of 6.7+ to warrant any government to enforce such heavy foundation technique. Vietnam is NOT AN EARTHQUAKE REGION!!!!
Foundation work is a complete overkill for a house. Huge money waste!😮
reclaimed bricks and rebar cost close to golden one xddd
You should come to my country in Ivory Coast. I like the way you build houses. there is a real estate boom in my country. you will have a lot of house contract to build. I will be the first customer. I am in Ivory Coast in West Africa. the house deficit is 833,000.
I make CMUBlocks.Want to relocate in Africa.
So very expence and so much work and resurces.
They weren't kidding when they said *SOLID* house foundation. WTF is all this for? The skinniest skyscrapper? Are you building in a swamp?

Guess there are some seismic consideration in that region but there is a lot easier way to achieve this level of a foundation. Maybe there is no concrete plant in the region with means of delivery? Not sure why they would put a septic tank under the slab? How will they pump this out and perform maintenance if needed? What if there is a leak in the tank, soil will erode and potentially cause the floor to crack which will allow sewer gasses to escape into the living space?
this house is never going to fall down nor crack, this is a super professional work
It wont last long...they welded the rebar in the beams which will corrode faster as they didn't blast and zinc them...a huge no no...now that beam will be weak asfk within 4-5 years with that size rebar. I could have gotten stronger beam strength with 1/2" rebar than they did with all that 1" rebar...its a bout technique...not size...didn't your wife tell you that!!
I absolutely love how relaxing and soothing this video is. It's like a virtual spa experience right at home!
Those women are great workers, I've seen them before, nothing phases them, hard working and knowledgeable.
You have to be, with that much steel.
Very strong ground good job guys
Looks very very very solid, i like it when people invest a bit more in foundations to build for many generations to come, not only the next 50 years ... With this foundation you can also always add another level later
Interesting comment, with a stronger and expensive foundation, things got easy to build another floors
what are those 3 chambers for in the one corner used for? I hope that's not a septic tank/system
How many batches of cement did you make for footing?
It would have been cool to see them put up a bamboo hut right in the middle & call it finished
I helped my dad when I was 5-6 years old. I still remember the mix he used 7 sand, 2 cement, 1 lime. Keep the bricks wet.
I love the start with the lining out of the house, excellent.
Aqui no Brasil. Gostei.
Exatamente
It is cheap because it is in northern Vietnam. The women in Vietnam often do the hardest and most dirty work in construction (Vietnamese women are tough!!!). The base construction/foundation seems overwhelmingly large because the ground is swampy, it rains a lot, the concrete is probably not 100% - and the house will probably have 3-4 stories. I had to change a faucet in my house in Vietnam, fix some lamps, and get some other things done... Price: 4 dollars - including faucet!!! I gave him 5!

@@josesegura5227 ESO ES LO QUE YO DIJE EL CAMBIO DE CONCIENCIA PORQUE LOS ALBAÑILES TE COBRAN COMO UN ARQUITECTO PERO LA GRAN MAYORIA TE HACEN TRABAJOS DE CHALAN
@octluna5076 Respeto comentario. Indudablemente tienes razon .
What teamwork! It looks like an incredibly strong foundation, an amazing amount of rebar.
This project is by far the most expensive way to building a house 😂😂
Depends on labour costs. With Labour that cheap it comes out quite affordable.
Expensive
@@KenFullman It is still a giant amount of concrete in there. If they don't build at least 3 storey house it is a waste of money.
I don't have enough relatives to help me build this house.😮
with so much rebar, concrete is not needed, The might frame with channels and I beams
The septic system should be away from the house so access is easy if required. You lay the pipes first and you do one pour of concrete 4 inches think for the house slab. This house is far too much work and materials to be economical.
I was amazed and impressed by the way the workers interacted and cooperated with each other as if they were one cell and one family. I take my hat off to them and respect their sincerity and dedication to their work
Embedding the septic in the foundation looks quite problematic.
What about added structural weight ?
What about access for maintenance ?
Solid yes, cheap no! lol
Muito legal! Um forte abraço de Salvador, Bahia, Brasil!!
What are the 3 chambers they are draining fluids into? A cystern system or septic tank? I find the idea of a septic tank directly below the house un-nerving. Even worse it cannot be maintained.

how many floors this foundation for?
i think it can hold 12 floors
if not i think this is an overkill
Do houses there tend to slide away or get stolen?
😂😂

It could be cheaper. You use steel bar on the foundation in the middle of the beam. It has no structural function in this position. It is only an additional burden for the foundation. There is no compression function and no traction function on these intermediate bars. Your team seems to be just curious builders because that constitutes a basic mistake
If you weld the beam rods then it will get soft in between and moreover the foundation will be weak. It will bend
Maybe in Vietnam, such a house it costs only 3 dollars. :))
God’s dollars
wow, that rebar is enough for a 10 story building :O
Wonderful foundation it seems like 4r 10plus story....THANXXX
1) huge wealth of rebar-is that a high-seismic area?
2) purpose of all that labor to build the squares underneath?
3) are all those people donating labor on family house, to make it “cheap”??
4) And….WHY/HOW can they get away with burying what looks like a 3-chamber gravity septic tank, not just under the foundations/floors, but, no way to access it to pump-out or inspect? I’d like to see just how those work…& for how long?…& under what conditions of use??
Is it the Insulated Vietnam Plate foundation technology?
