He's a wonderful caring dad. You are all such a happy family. Love your mushroom harvest.
Thank you!
Lucky you. Lovely mushrooms, mmm. Love how gently Clemont puts the mushrooms in the basket.
So enjoyed watching you harvest your precious mushrooms and enjoying the fruits of your labour. These are the days for making golden family memories to treasure. 🙂
So happy to see all of you again, we have missed you. The children are growing up quickly and still as adorable as ever. Hugs to Pepper, she is precious too. Very fun visit. We laughed at Juliette eating grass and attempting to chew on the stick, just like she sees Pepper doing. 🐕😉 lol. Marc i hope your back heals soon. God bless your family.
Thank you Angela!
I love how he did the backing up safety beeping of his truck.
What a delightful vlog. The children are thriving and clearly having a great time with mum and dad. Every blessing.
So happy to see you back, the babies have grown. Growing your own mushrooms, how wonderful 😍

Clement and Juliet are adorable 🥰
Thank you!
Very interesting! A whopper harvest
Thank you for a delightful lesson in patient mushroom growing and delicious recipe. I find such joy in your adventures at the chateau.
A wonderful vlog today, I'd love to learn more about mushrooms and go foraging! Your vintage opening is my favorite of all the vlogs I watch, but...t'is time to upgrade and add Juliette! She's growing so fast, and it's a joy to watch Clement helping papa!
So glad you enjoyed it! We definitely need to add the little poppet in! It’s just a matter of finding the time!
Lovely to see all back! Wow, that was a good harvest.
Hope Marcs back gets better quickly xx lovely to see you all again xx AMAZING mushrooms !
Another wonderful story from a beautiful family! So fun hearing Clement and Juliette talk! 🥰
I love this! you have worked so hard at making your Chateau a lovely home for your family! It's exciting to see the mushroom harvest! I love seeing the family grow over the past couple years and so nice you can preserve your own food! Cheers!
Thank you very much - you're very kind!
I love listening to Marc talk! Such a nice family. Love you Vlog.
Thanks Beverly!
You are a lovely family. I was drooling over those mushrooms. I love mushrooms and can imagine how delicious those freshly picked ones are. The risotto looked so delicious. Thank you for another vlog. Stay well. xx
You are such a beautiful Family... thank you for sharing your lives with all of us. xx
Wonderful to see you all the mushroom 🍄 harvest was such a treat the ressoto I could just eat yours now 👍🤗
Love Sue♥️♥️♥️🇬🇧♥️♥️♥️
Fascinating! So sweet that Clement has his mommy’s coloring and Juliet has her daddy’s!
Delightful! Interesting to learn about a special mushroom knife.
One of the best chateau vlogs I have seen for a long time , I have always gone mushroom 🍄 picking in Sussex in the U.K. but normally not until the end of September
Ah that’s so kind of you to say - thank you!
Waco here. My mother would place water filled gallon water jugs or milk jugs in the bottom of her freezer in case the power went off for several days. The food usually stayed frozen, but for four or five days the food would not spoil.
That’s a great tip!
Plus, you have emergency water.
Was that an oak log where the mushrooms were growing?
Beautiful children! Fabulous harvest of shiitake mushrooms! Great job!
I loved this!! Just fascinating to watch Marc cutting the mushrooms off of the log. Enjoy❤
Thank you!
Yummo. Lovely mushrooms
They were amazing
Nice To See You Both. The Children Are Growing Fast. I Love Mushrooms 🍄💕
Really lovely!
What a beautiful life you lead, those gorgeous children are so lucky grow up so organically… I love the music you used when the mushrooms were being picked. Lovely to see you all again. ❤️
So happy to see your beautiful family! Virginia USA
Brilliant always lovely to see you and your family. Eileen x
Early in the video I saw your dog in the background and I thought it was a bear! I was shocked that you were so calm, especially with your children nearby - that’s when I realized it was actually a dog.
That’s so funny 😂
welcome back. nice to see your smile
Nice to see you back, the kiddies have grown beautiful babies, mushrooms look yummy enjoy x💕🌼🌼🤗
Thank you Carole!
As I sat and watched this video, I realized I was smiling. It was such a good feeling to see you all outside with the children--my, how Juliette has grown! The mushrooms looked absolutely divine!!!! And when Marc was explaining what ingredients were in the Mushroom Risotto, my mouth was watering! How wonderful to see something like this come to fruition after several years of waiting for a good crop. Loved this video! So happy you are all well. Missed you!!!
so happy to see you all!! mushroom risotto!!!! feta butter onion or shallot add mushrooms , brown then add risotto till transparent, then add white wine till white, till tasty..then mushroom stock cubes from switzerland, adding little by little stir and stir, 20 min. Parmesan to make it stringy.....tastes like it has just been picked....giggles from a happy wife , mother , husband and father. you all are in my thoughts, for all good things to be on your path.
What a beautiful family! I've really enjoyed watching your videos. So much love in your humble abode.
Thank you! We’re happy you’re enjoying them!
Seeing Clement nearly switching off the freezer reminded me of one year when we went on a family holiday only to return to a stinky kitchen. Our then 7 or 8 yr old son saw us going round checking the house before we left shutting shutters and switching things off and thought he’d help by switching off an extension lead, sadly powering the freezer ! Not a nice thing to come home to, phew smelly.
Oh bless him!
Goodness! Those mushrooms look delicious!
It is always a delight to see your beautiful family, love watching your vlogs🇦🇺❤️
I see your husband has the same back issues as my husband, this summer .. bon rétablissement à lui ! .
Hallo Messr and Madame, I just tuned into your channel on this video. Loved it. How fascinating to see how many mushrooms were on that small log. Your children are adorable, too. The risotto looked yummy. I'll go back and take a look at your other VLOGs. Very special!
Why thank you so much! Welcome to our little world!
Your beautiful life, darling bean children !
Your vlog was filmed so beautifully. I had no idea that you could grow your own mushrooms. I will definitely consider doing that. I had to laugh when I saw the hen with her chickens watching what you were doing. Risotto looked wonderful.
Thank you Harriet!
Missed you guys....another great vlog!
Thank you 😊
A handy tip about freezing. We grow a lot of our own vegetables and fruit but always put them in bags straight away, but I’m going to try your method. Thankyou.
We found that freezing all veg and fruit loosely on trays (and always dry) before bagging really helps when you come to get them out later on. I think it must be how it’s done commercially. Hope it helps!
What a fun video with the kids❤️and Pepper❤️
We use chicken stock with dried porcini mushrooms, wild rice and even some bacon when we make our risotto in addition to your recipe. The small amount of wild rice makes it taste a bit nuttier.
Sounds delicious!
Wow...awesome mushroom grower Marc!
( I think miss spidie should move to another community 😁 there has to be better food selection elsewhere for her) - Oui ?
Babies are sooo adorable ❤️
Thank you! And I totally agree about our spidie friend.
It’s fantastic to see all of you again. You’ve been missed! Yum!🤤 That’s a huge mushroom haul. Hugs, Doc 🇺🇸
Thank you! It’s good to be back!
way back when when manor houses were self sufficient, the gardener had a long bed of mushrooms below a shelf below ground level in the long half greenhouse lean twos that were also used as cold frame rooms.
Thank you lovely to see you all again.
😊
Oh my so wonderful to see family!!! Everyone is learning to provide.
Thank you! We like to teach the kids from a young age.
That is the way we older people learned. Makes life easy. Amazing!!!
Lovely vlog - it was a very good harvest and your lunch looked so yummy. Clement was such a good helper and Juliette was so very happy playing in the grass - sweet kids! 😊
Oh, boy! Just happened to find your channel through Epoch Times and subscribing to it after watching my first video of yours.
Writing a comment here may not mean much to you guys, however, it's a way of pouring out my heart because of the beauty and almost a fantasy-like story which breathes into my soul so tired and overwhelmed with the reality I'm living way far from your heavenly home, here in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I really wished I could visit this paradise place one day...
God bless you! Congratulations!
Sergio L Ferrez
P.S. I'm from French descendency! From Saint Laurent du Jura, my great-grand father and his brother came to Brazil in the French Mission invited by the Portuguese Royal family, Zephérin and Marc Ferrez, sculturists.
Dear Sergio - thank you so much for your beautiful comment. Welcome to the Rosières family. It’s wonderful to hear of your link to France too. The Jura area is wonderful and when we next visit we will think of you! Sending you positive vibes. Amy, Marc, Clément and Juliette
@@Chroniclesofrosieres Wow! I'm delighted with such prompt reply, dear family! Thank you indeed! Keep up the good work!
I am not a mushroom fan, but I am happy to see the success that you have had! Clerment is so cute with his little truck!
I never used to like mushrooms Pam - but I love the wild ones and the shiitake ones now. They seem very different to the standard supermarket ones!
@@Chroniclesofrosieres thank you for the mushroom knife idea...my sister-in-law leads forage tours and groups in North Georgia, and recently lost her mushroom knife..I didn't even know they existed and I have one ordered for an upcoming birthday gift!
Your mushroom harvest is amazing! So glad you shared it with all of us… andClem appear to be such a good helper 😁
The shiitake are in the freezer for your next visit!
I have mushroom envy 😃
They are so delicious!
I was in heaven and totally envious watching you harvest your gorgeous mushrooms. And the risotto looked scrumptious. Your children are living in paradise. I know your place requires constant work and your days must be long but what a lovely home you have. No wonder Nicki enjoys staying with you.
Thanks Jane! I do think it’s a wonderful place to bring children up!
lovely gentle vlog thank you
Wow, amazing crop!
We were really pleased!
❤️❤️❤️
Bonus seeing your family, harvesting and a cooking video....trifecta!
Hoping your back feels better soon
Thanks Rita!
Cool shiitake log!! 👍💚🍄🙌
😊
Definite mushroom envy
You'll need to grow some now too!
Soooo amazing!!! Marc’s knowledge and your ingenuity makes a very good team!!!! Tres bien❤️
Aw thanks Katie 😊
Welcome back. It’s not lazy harvesting, just efficient. Love how the chickens always seem to be supervising everything you do🤣🤣🤣Clement and Juliet are growing up so quickly and still adorable. Pepper is so gentle with them. Did Ms. Chat Chat take a nap 😴 or you hadn’t gotten him yet? Wish I could have tasted that risotto. It looked yummy 😋 Thanks for sharing 😍😘
What magnificent views from your chateau!
Thank you! We love them!
What a fun guy 😂
😂😂😂
Great vlog! I've heard about a fellow that bought a property with a cave and turned it into a mushroom growing business. Perfect temperature and darkness, apparently. Your children are so adorable. Clement is such a good helper, and gentle when reminded! Thanks for finding the time to produce this - I know it must be very challenging!
Thank you! Wow buying a mushroom cave is the next level!
I'm glad Nikki introduced me to your channel. Your little family is adorable. This video was artfully made. I loved everything about it.
You’re so kind. Thank you!
It was good to see all again the children are growing so fast....the mushrooms look fabulous 👌and by the sound of it they taste fabulous...love Pepper xxx
Thankyou so much; what a beautiful vlog. Love the music too. x
Thanks Amanda!
Glad that is mushroom magic and not magic mushroom.
Came here to say exactly that!
Glad you enjoyed the reference!!!
Very nice vlog. When my daughter lived in London, we use to go to a great little diner and have mushroom risotto. It was so good.
Nice harvest of mushrooms!
I bet those mushrooms are yummy! Here where I live in Indiana, we have morels. One summer I was mowing my backyard and found a cluster growing right there, a few feet from my door. I stopped my mowing and harvested them right then. They were delish!
Oo I love Morels. The expert mushroomers round here find them but we don’t know where yet!
Love seeing you all in the garden bringing the food in, it reminds me when my family used to round the allotment with my dad to help gather in any produce that he had grown, my dad always used manure and it stank so bad that we used to hide in the shed to try to get away from it.
Ha ha that’s a great memory!
great update; wonderful production of champignons! now, will they continue to grow there, or will be necessary to spread more spores???!....it is so interesting that they will just grow on a log ....we normally have them growing in a sort of mulch soil (cultivated). Pepper is such a lovely pet and caring for your children♥
Thank you! They should continue to grow there for a few more years yet!
Awesome to see you again, I would love to sit in your garden and take in the smells and just chill, cheers from Perth Western Australia 🖐❤️
Maybe one day Debbie!
Absolute bliss. I was so happy when I heard your theme music, I have missed you . You all look well and happy x
Aw thanks Elizabeth. We’re happy to be back!
👏👏👏👏👏
wow! xo
So lovely!!! Great harvest!
Thanks Carol!
Wow the mushrooms looks yummy x
They were wonderful!
Welcome back♥️
La beauté! Nice mushrooms! How wonderful.
Nice mushroom harvest!
Growing your own food does make you realise just how much you would need to grow to be entirely self-sufficient with veg/fruit! I've been trying every year to increase production, but still fall short and it takes so much energy and time to grow/harvest and store! Congratulations on the mushrooms. Do you plan to add more logs to give yourself a larger harvest for the winter?
Absolutely! Yes we do plan on adding more logs because we've just had an oak fall actually!
I agree. We grew all the produce we ate for the year, except potatoes. Preserving and proper storage took as much time as growing and picking. At peak harvest, the whole family had to pitch in. My mother did an incredible amount of work for us.
hi they look great they should do for the winter.
Hope you got more harvest out of it. You also could dry the mushrooms and make powder out of it. That gives a good umami flavour to sauces and Asian dishes.
Your kids are so cute 🥰
Oh wow those mushrooms were fantastic plus we had a lesson on how to cultivate them a double whammy. Lovely to see you all. Looking forward to seeing your vlogs this winter
Thank you Denise!
BEST WISHES TO YOUR FAMILY
Thank you!
Those are wonderful, luscious and large Shiitakes you have cultivated! Quite a coincidence, I just made chicken mushroom risotto yesterday. I use Baby Bella mushrooms since they are less expensive here and will be cut up anyway. If not for that, after watching you make and eat it, I’d be headed to the kitchen to make some as it is one of my very favorite dishes! Loved watching Clement helping you with the harvesting; such a cute and helpful little boy! 🥰
