I always paired him with scorpion because isn’t there a timeline where Hanzo went to Quan Chi to get those powers of the netherrealm after “sub-zero” kills his family and clan?

Sektors flamethrower restand is so plus on hut that u can launch them then restand them w the flamethrower and use the hit stun to guarantee the bone cage. So much fun in the corner
@@MicroMakesMusic once I get to the corner, u don't even have to use bone cage unless u want a way to safely set up zone of waste. Otherwise u can just reatand w flame thrower and go to pressuring
Honestly, this new move is super sick. I can't think of another fighting game character that can cover gaps in their blocks things with armor, closest thing would be trap characters setting up their traps to go off when the opponent is likely to press a button.
For Smoke, I love doing the push away portal and moving it behind Quan which denies their teleports. Most Smokes still teleport and I get a free punish. Match-up is still awful though
Quan Chi has been my main in KL, but he’s felt pretty inconsistent since I got to iv or v. It seems like once your opponent knows what they’re doing, you’re just too reliant on 50/50s. Insanely excited to play some KL with these changes.
Normal Zone of Waste lasts for 3 seconds, and it takes 2 for the armor to kick in. Ex Zone of Waste sticks around for 10 seconds, and every 3 seconds he gets the armor, for a total of three hits. I wish Quan got better buttons but these setups just show that the character isn't dead. Just gotta think a little harder

You can pretty much drain an entire bar of meter if you do Jataaka's Curse during either his tentacle or his skydrop, and people love to try and press after b3,4 but they never expect the single dagger to come out

i'd be very interested in looking into trying to find framekills to help time zone of waste/ bone cage offence to best abuse the armor without having to be as precise. regardless, the potential seems incredible, can't wait to see what comes of it
Looks like the opponent still gains meter while waste is active, I think they should implement the same change they did with Sareena so that they can't gain meter while it's being drained. Granted it still works to disable breaker but it drains so little, I guess they really want it to be about the armour.
@@lonewolfxdash4738 don't be afraid to activate crystalline armor, then do unsafe stuff w whatever character your running, bc the enemy can't punish u correctly. If they hit u, they can't kock u down, meaning they may try to extend in to something that will get them in trouble since u won't get knocked down. U will recover in a few frames, and can sometimes punish someone. raidens df2 combo extender can be punished immediately for example, since u don't get knocked down
seeing roether playing jax and getting insane setups makes me think this setup could work well. obviously not off of everything like the 214 but i bet the same theory applies. im gonna have to lab it later

I've been doing 12 sub freeze ex df1 but move it till its just touching you're opponent to waste time b342 1.3 f4 db1 then you are still safe and with 2 portals on screen

I'm was so on the fence of picking up MK1 since I I wasn't sure who I would play. I tend to play keep away to defensive power house characters and no one in cast looked like they fit the bill. ( Was looking at Tanya, habit, and maybe kitana) But Quan hi is looking like he can fit the bill
it's a bit of a bummer that they mapped moving the zones to 3, we've got stance change quasi-unused and utilising the button is pretty clunky. same goes for shang's morph

8:39 Ngl this situation Quan can put on his apponent is op just like mkx Quan،but unlike mkx Quan،its takes alot of recourses،but the big issue is that both his mixups and the damage he gets from it is really bad His 27 frames overhead doesn't help plus he gets only 28 percent with overhead into subzero kameo If sub kameo isnt availble he has to spend 2 bars to get a combo with that slow overhead and the damage is still very low He feels like so much effort for not so much reward Heres my fix to this problem They should buff his ex skull to be as fast as nornal skull and buff his overhead to be 18 or 20 frames،with this change he can have way better mixups and the ex skull cancel into his overhead allows a little more damage with fewer recources
I wish developers would stop waiting until after multiple patches before giving characters moves that were likely intended to have day one in order to artificially extend the life of a game with an "expanding meta."
Sometimes I think the reason why Quan is so trash is because they knew a lot of fans don't like Quan lore-wise, so they made him weak to support the meme..... Which would be fine, IF HE WASN'T A PAID DLC 🙃 Don't make me pay for trash
I like the zone of waste, but i feel its not just it yet. It's giving jack of all trades... Are you a metre stealer, or an armor portal? By trying to be both, it failed to be either one. Frankly, i feel they should have made the zone of power-enhanced moves steal metre, while the zone of waste should have been exactly like MKX Quan's armor portal.
More people are playing this game than they were a month ago, thanks to some great changes and fixed match drops. I think it’s on the up and up. The community in this comment section is keeping the game from completely sinking.

I’ve had quite of few rage quits from the armor portal. End everything in f4,portal. Smoke seems to get out of it pretty easily. Tough match up.

If you're able to ge purple spell up too get a full combo one bar with ex skull from the overhead normal, or use two bars and go for the low.
Sad thing is that his purple skull doesnt connect to any of his strings except for 12

You can move the zone while blocking, so if they used stance flip you could get accidental fatal blow.
