It’s a solid way to check people who consistently duck the standing 4, but overall, kinda disappointed that that was the buff they went with. Would have loved a new string, better frame data, or reduction of meter cost on enhanced db4.
@@zeidnakib9985 Me too. The idea of it complimenting stand 4 is great, but it's slow, -12, and can't be special cancelled. DB1 kind of already checks people who duck at full screen, though it's a very slow overhead. I really think if Quan just got normalized frames/meter (7 frame jab and db4 being 1 bar) he'd literally be way better than he is currently. Here's to hoping they do some more with him soon!

Of course! Quan Chi's my favorite character to play in MK1, so I'm not planning on dropping him anytime soon. I feel like he's not as bad as people say, and we're really just scratching the surface of his potential!

That's so cool! Sektor has been in my Top 3 Kameos along with Shujinko and Tremor and while I'll never fully commit to Quan, I loved trying him out with Sektor when he launched. Now he's even better!!!

My favourite team of the game, it has a lot of versatility, it's strong and a lot of fun BTW There's a way to squeeze a little more damage from 13 and B342 13, 4-bk(telepunch), 3, J21, F44 - 296 damage If the timing is too difficult just do J122 after 3 and you get 293 damage. B342-k (call missile as soon as the 2 hits), 13, 4-skydrop - 311 damage

hey for the quan optimal, you want to hit 2,1+kameo,4,bf1. the reason for this, is it allow you to use the first hit to check your opponent, but still be able to very easily confirm into the optimal.
Absolutely! Actual plus frames on 50/50's, projectile into teleport to either take a turn, or now you can use it to get better positioning! Motaro has some of the best synergy with Quan. Definitely gonna be covering him soon!
I was capable of that combo string you’re showing before they patched sektor the one you said was only a corner combo in fact xombat or tweedy had some crazy combos with this team on his release I forget who that’s where I got the combos from but it seems it’s more consistent now
Yeah... Hopefully that changes when the next big patch rolls in! There's supposedly two more that are going to cover the characters Ed Boon mentioned in a tweet a few weeks back that didn't get touched this patch.
I know, Havik has not gotten any significant changes since day 1. Literally plays the exact same from nearly a year ago which really sucks cos he was my original main in this game too (even has day 1 bugs still). Hopefully they got some significant buffs for him coming up, and at least Ferra gives him some 50/50 and damage now (off of torso twist, F13, and his jab string).
I still think sareena is his best kameo, the full screen stand 4 into glaves, full combo, low into glaves, full combo, overhead into glaves, full combo. Cant beat that for me
Sareena is a very solid pick, especially for Quan. Just having her projectiles let's him zone and have better space control! Add some meter drain setups, and a very good wake up option with her down assist instead of having to use sky drop. She's very good with Quan and bumps your health up a little bit too.

Oh yeah, it is possible outside of corner. I remember it being really inconsistent though as well, but now we get way more damage!
