@@liarandahorsethief5203 The way the stealth is done is just boring in this game. Sneak with a hammer... smack... sneak with a hammer... smack. I like more variety in stealth games.

few small tips above that: PING -T $ID will repeat ping command over and over while you using the terminal - so teammates can find thins easier LIST command can take also items names as well as IDs - for example LIST MEDIPACK will show you IDs of every medipack available. Including those that are out of your reach.
found another one: LIST RESOURCES ZONE_#ID - will show only Ammo\Medi\Tool packs in said zone - no need to look trough the security doors and other stuff in the list.
I'm the terminal dude for my group, we had to redo a wave in R3A3 because the others didn't know how to get the password -.- Good guide, I didn't know about TAB for autocomplete.
Even after explaining that as well as you did I still feel that would take a lot of time to master especially because of the stress you can be under. Thanks for the amazing practice and walk through for such a helpful skill
this is so cool, and they can expand even more by having a chance to spawn more rewarding terminals for those with the skill and patience to discover how to reveal some zones ahead of time like a map updater.Or maybe some security protocols you can engage with the terminal that are temporary use
Just bought the game yesterday and I like the way it just throw u in the game with no clue on how to survive. I had to die like 3 times just to learn how to safely clear a room and even more death to learn how to survive the alarms lmao. Anyway very usefull video imma use it a lot I believe ! :)
Lol started to play this with friends and one friend just lost his shit when he took fall dmg and lost it even more when he saw the terminals 😅😅 was funny I will admit the terminals still confuse tf outa me
the tutorial says to ping yellow key 547 but its not working for me. to be honest this whole terminal aspect seems really awful and already im not enjoying the game :(
@@4FSGaming It just looks tedious to me, and I know I would never want to be the role that does this in a group. What's more, is that I would also never want to ask someone to play this role in a group either. It just doesn't look in the least bit fun or enjoyable to me. Again, I'm thankful for your content, as I would've spent money on this game and absolutely regretted it due to this aspect alone.
@@scottbuck1572 tbh it rlly isn't that hard it's just three commands for almost all levels with the occasional specific objective one, ping list and query, and ping and query are rlly simple
This seems to ruin the game. I can't get into it being bogged down trying to work this termnal. I thoguht this game was easier to get into like Killing Floor. Don't see why it has positive reviews. Having to memorize so many thigns just to play a casual game is annoying.
this is, in fact, a not casual game this is very much the opposite from a casual game this, is marketed everywhere like an extreme hardcore coop horror shooter how the fuck did u missed it
Not sure why this game isn't getting more attention. Requires a bunch of team coordination and the atmosphere is awesome
Because it's boring.
@@ChiefTomcat I take it you're not a fan of stealth

Hunt:Showdown is a really fun somewhat stealth horror shooter. You should check it out.

Gotta love 4FS for making confusing things simple to understand.
Just played my first match with a buddy of mine and holy cow is this game fun. We had no idea how to use terminals...

Awesome tutorial really simple and to the point really appreciate it.
Glad it was helpful!
Plot twist: this is a secret way to promote and teach command line.

Must say i love using those terminals in this game, its pretty much like i work in on my linux terminal 😎
Holy... i thought i will give this Game a Look, but the way you use Terminals doesnt promise fun for me.
It's pretty intuitive once you learn the commands, and it makes you feel pretty coordinated when you can find absolutely everything for your team.
I hope they doesn't change this
Less accessable but way more intuitive
Help please
whenever i list zone
example List zone_61B it doesn't show anything just says list filtered and shows blank unlike yours
Reply is 6 months late but the reason it wasn't working is because you were adding B, for example you only need to type "list zone_61"

it's PING KEY_YELLOW_547
Hello, someone play with me.
What an awful system. I was interested in this game until seeing this video, so thanks for the guide, and for saving me and my friends some money!
I really like this layer to the game, it really helps out with the immersion and panic when you are deep in the bowels of the levels
