Good morning! I love your vest and get your vision for the shirt look you're after. You made me smile when you said you are spilling over into your daughter's room. I did the same thing when my daughter left home. It's my catch all room, including two containers of fabric that I inherited and haven't had time for a serious look at yet, and I have set up my ironing station by the window in there. (Growing cataracts-need light.) I'm inspired by your plans and enthusiasm. Happy fall sewing! 🙂 Bernadette
Hello Bernadette! I'm glad you get my vision for the shirt and vest. Makes me feel a little more confident about making them! It's a good thing we only have a 3 bedroom house and are empty nesters! Because one room is my sewing room and the guest room, like you, is sort of a catch all - but mostly for my sewing. If we had a bigger house, I'd spread my sewing around even more! Happy fall sewing to you too!
Great idea about styling the vest. Would love to see the ensemble, and the 'tie'. I can tell you did a great job sewing it. The shirtdress is pretty! So glad you got a well-deserved compliment!
Yay, Renee! I hope you're beginning to feel better. When I got covid, I stayed in bed for 3 days - literally didn't get out of bed for 3 whole days. After that I felt good enough to walk around but it took a total of 5 days to really feel like I belonged back in the world :(.
