  • This was a ringing up peal at goodleigh Devon God it was loud standing behind the church filming this video almost like I was next to the bells however all of these bells are a mixed bag of bells with the cast years cast in 1885 by mears and stainbank the second cast in 1905 by Mears and stainbank the third cast in 1743 by Thomas wroth fourth cast in 1743 by Thomas wroth fifth cast in 1885 by Mears and stainbank and the tenor cast in 1828 by Thomas ii Mears Weights of the bells treble 3-2-4 second 3-2-0 third 4-2-8 fourth 4-3-4 fifth 5-2-6 tenor 7-1-18 376kg in A. And all the Sallie’s on the ropes are blue originally a ground flooring ringing chamber but now an upstairs ringing chamber all the bells are very nice sending and very easy to ring apart from the second which is a bit odd struck but other than that easy little six definitely some of the easier bells I’ve ever rung And the bells are hung in a cast iron bell frame dated 1997 Nicholson engineering LTD the bells with the word Mears are all from the Whitechapel bell foundry in London and the Thomas wroth bells are from Wellington in Somerset.
