All sentient creatures actions are generated by "feelings" fundamentally. Thats how all brains work and are made....even AI has positive and negative reinforcement structures required for its creation and function...which it will interpret as feelings. Feelings are necessary and are not necessarily irrational. They are expedient and a form of instinctual memory of past "facts" from ancestors who survived when satisfying those feelings. There are no Vulcans nor will there ever be a useful sentient machine without feelings. Without feelings, there would be no e-motivation to even discover facts. Those who "claim" they base their actions on facts and not feelings are just lying and hiding some (pretty bad) feelings towards others.

I honestly think that the less someone knows about abortion, the more pro-life they are. Pro-lifers adopt an absolutist view on human morality in this one case and this one case only. Murder is wrong ALWAYS when it's against a fetus, but they don't apply that absolutist view to everything because you CAN'T! Murder is NOT always wrong, and 99.999% of conservatives agree that murder in self-defense is justified. It's not (always) the case that they just hate women. Ive dated 2 women that had to have abortions with premature babies because it came down to their life or tha baby and even then, the chance the baby survived was low anyway. So we would of lost double the life intended. Of of those women, their husband left them on the hospital bed alone while he went and married another woman THAT SAME DAY. So Republican arguments fall on deaf ears to me. Ive asked a woman to take plan b and it sucked, even as open as she was about it. Neither of us wanted kids yet and i wore a condom every time we made love after that and with every woman id been with after that. I know too many people that had kids by accident with women they werent spending their lives with and their lives ruined. Man and woman. Both putting themselves in a lose lose situation because they didnt communicate and didnt make good decisions. Im not monogamous and have yet to get anyone pregnant. But i also dont pursue dating that much. I wait out relationships till it feels right. I dont hook up. The saftey and planning is important to me as much as the woman im with. Im not looking to breed for the sake of it. I dont think children are the end all be all to life. Thats the blinders parents put on to make kids as a whole sound like gods on earth, when those same parents that think theyre good can raise a bad citizen as much as someone they think is not worthy of children. Parental delusional ego should be a disorder in my opinion. Some parents just dont care about their kids and do nothing for them and still claim "their the best thing to ever happen to me". The same pro lifers that keep women down, would abandon that baby as soon as their born. Figuratively and literally. When abortian was largely banned in the past, dumpster babies were a thing. During the depression people sold their babies to make ends meet. So?

Ben will demand women who terminate a pregnancy be prosecuted but cries and cries and cries his crocodile tears when Israel is called to task at the Hague for bombing babies on incubators. It's not about 'saving lives.' It's hatred of women & patriarchal control over women's bodies being used as a wedge issue by fanatics and cynical grifters. And most of those same fanatics are gleeful, eager supporters of the massacres of babies & children in Gaza and the West Bank.

2:30 so when he talks about a more gradual approach to legislation, he's referring to that saying that if you put a frog in boiling water, it will thrash about and such, but if you slowly raise it to a boil with the frog inside, it doesn't complain and just dies. Note how in both cases, the frog dies, just takes longer in the gradual approach. It is not, oh maybe this decision isn't popular (because it is extremist and quite dangerous), it's we need to make the changes slow enough so we get what we want, just that people won't notice.

Abortion is the entire reason why I, a man, am alive today. My mother's first pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy, which was aborted. It was caught just in time, and had that ectopic pregnancy not been aborted, my mother would have either died or been rendered infertile. My mom's abortion was the real pro-life choice in her case. One abortion enabled my life, and the lives of my brothers, while also saving hers.

An actual heart doesnt exist until 17 to 20 weeks of pregnancy.
I believe 16 weeks is the first trimester which is when something like 95% of all abortions happen. Before a heartbeat, before a brain. You cant have a person if you dont have a brain even. We live in our brains. Our conciousness. That gives us personhood.
If a mass of cells has never had a conciousness, it isnt a person. Theres no one to harm or murder. Theres no one to feel and receive pain. Theres no one deprived of life or the pursuit of happiness.
Roe v wade put abortion at viability which is pretty late in term iirc.
These heartbeat bills essentially just ban abortion altogether because their definition of heartbeat means as soon as a woman has even recognized shes pregnant, that pulse is likely there.
I cant imagine the horror women must feel if theyve missed their period. Now they have to figure out quick if theyre pregnant and what their legal options are under these laws.
And under alabama its entirely illegal to get this crucial healthcare. An embryo is a person to them even if theyre frozen
