The Acura Integra is one of my favorite JDM cars to ever hit the scene. However the four door doesn't get that much love compared to the legendary DC2 Integra and Type R. So what happens when you make a four door Integra all wheel drive, k20 swap it, and throw a big turbo on? Mayhem. Absolute mayhem.

Why does that K series swap 4-door Integra sounds so good?! It sounds like it was taken from NFS UG2! Kinda
Might have something to do with sound deadening and the older integra isn’t as refined as the 2006 civic SI which the K20 originated from.
It’s the sidewinder turbo manifold that makes it sound like that

I legit cried watching this video k20 awd is a project I’ve always wanted to do in my life time. Life gets hard and money gets tight but I’m still gonna keep pushing to make this dream happen. Thank you for sharing.

sadly k series is the only one left, b series parts are hard to find and expensive as shit, k is starting to go down in price since people are parting out accords and tsx's and other k series cars. maybe some 6cylinder Honda stuff is possible with the right swap.

My mazda 2.0 sounds absolutely disgusting with magnaflow exhuast mods. It sounds deep and grumbly, in some scenarios it sounds like v8 it's crazy. It's skyactiv tho, so compression is very high, that could be a factor

This combo literally sounds like you took a gc8 and made it reliable at 500hp, that is honestly a dream for most Subaru owners

I'd say it is a "Sleeper" to those who don't do cars. The rest of us? There are too many visual "Tells" when you look.
It's still a cool car, but the "Sleeper"/ Q-ship moniker is a stretch
When I was like 8, my older brother and I had an argument about the existence of 4 door integras. I remember growing older and taking a picture of one to prove him wrong. Ive wanted one since. I loved integra hatch though.

It's hardly from gone away just because a segment of street cars are going to be electric, especially with how beloved and widely-adopted combustion engines are in racing and how flexible they are in industrial applications. I think this is a prelude of what we might get in the 2023 Acura Integra, AWD in either manual or automatic.
You should review a 1st and 2nd gen integra those cars are cool plus you could show every body how the integra evolved over time and are pretty rare now

I’ve built 2 awd Hondas now, a 750hp rsx and 470hp crx, and I’ll tell you what, I will never go back to fwd for anything not all motor
Ah yes using cr-V's and s13's to turn hondas from FWD to AWD and RWD. Really is gold if you think about it. Doing any sort of a drivetrain swap in a honda just makes the car so much better

The Integra is 1200 kg put that in pounds which is 2645 they're about. So a light car in today's standards for sure. That is why I am a Honda fan the best engines far as I'm concerned pound for pound. And in a light chassis.
A hatch is 900 kg lighter again.
The AWD conversion probably adds a few hundred pounds, but still a very light car by today's standards.
@@TheBLDZRR a integra weighs like 2,700 pounds plus you have to add like a hundred something pounds because of the awd swap

That Vtec crack with the turbo spool 🤤 I’m kinda regretting buying an accord with the j35. Don’t get me wrong the j35 is a great engine. But you can’t go wrong with a k series

@@Tuvzii yeah, I’ve got a k&n cai, RV6 j pipe, and a custom 3 inch cat back with two vibrant performance ultra quiet resonators, and a 3 to 4 inch Megan racing blast pipe. I’ve got an ultra racing strut bar and then a set of Aodhan Ds02 wheels

I'm glad to hear that these builds are reliable. However, I have to ask. How do you deal with the lack of a driveshaft tunnel?
Each honda is a bit different, but most of them have somewhat of a tunnel still, its more of getting the rear end mounted and gas tank to work. Some swaps you need to do a bit of sheet metal work towards the back. Its definitely a project, but thats not the hardest part as far as my research has shown
@@matthewhannon2509 That's right. I forgot about the gas tank. Also, the dual pump system needs to be tweaked in order to get AWD all of the time.
I crashed my 1999 db8 in December it’s been 8 months and I still get what the word.. emotional 😭 fucking miss that teggy never thought a sedan would have feeling like damn. The j front only reason I get the thing in the first place and after seeing all these amazing builds I’m gonna start saving up 5-8 grands hopefully I’ll do a decent build

A similar setup I'd love to do with my 7th Gen Accord.
Lots of respect to this build, but the part I love most is that it was RHD converted. Not only is that difficult, but plenty would rip into you for doing it, regardless of the car. Props to the owner for doing what they wanted.
I don’t see the point of making it RHD, unless it’s for JDM nostalgia points. The power steering pinion on the rack....won’t it sit too close to the engine. Whereas if you put it on the transmission side, it would be easier to take the power steering lines off?

Very cool Integra David, but lately I've heard you speak in a negative light about Nissan SR20'S and as an owner of a B13 SE-R I would like to see you drive a well setup front drive based SR, it doesn't have to be crazy modified. I like a lot of different cars and am willing to see the positives and negatives in all but what has made you so jaded? Is it people speaking about them, because I remember when SR'S were not popular, we never got the best versions in the USA although the normal DE was simple and strong with good midrange power which is why they were great. Hopefully you can find a good one to drive with normal suspension nothing more than coilovers. Mine is currently getting maintenance and a few mods. Thanks for the good video's.
I have a 98 240sx with the ka24de motor ... back in the late 90s and early 2000's everyone was doing SR20 swaps until the 2JZ's proved their strength, then they were swapping in the 2JZ's, then they would swap in the RB26 ...
I stayed with the KA .. Even the engine builders and machine shop guys would always ask WHY one would remove a cast iron block 2.4L and go with an aluminum block 2L ... ??? My answer was because it was the easy button "reliable" for hp.
Sure the SR20 was a great engine but 2.4L vs 2L and aluminum vs cast iron ..

So my understanding of the crv drive train is that it is a 90 % FWD bias and will send up to 10 % power to the rear in the event of loss of traction so wouldn’t that handle massively different than a Subaru or evo ?
@@albunteung alright now that makes more sense , I had a buddy with one of those old wagons actually with the 4Wd lever they look great IMO to this day if you can find one with no rust
