dude y'all are so full of yourselves. this is a sweet song that grooves and still well written. it describes a sloppy brownout rager in a way that brings back many forgotten memories. I love this band, but so much of their music is deep and emotional. it's nice for a quality light hearted change. it's just people having fun. maybe you've experienced this before.

I look forward to many more years of watching you go and write some of the best songs of our generation. Every time I think I've found my favourite Dawes song, another one pops up.. I've been a Dawes fan since north hills, and have always compared them to beer. The very first time you drink beer, it does not agree with your taste buds. It is an acquired taste. But once you learn to appreciate the unique flavor and experience that is beer, you will never go back. Everything Dawes does is this way to me. They have a unique sound and they are different from most things in music. Which is why they are compared to so many different artists. This is another example of their acquired taste. I know this song will grow to be appreciated for its unique sound and experience. I commend them for changing it up, because not every song can be a moon in the water or little bit of everything tear jerker. Lighten up and appreciate Dawes' ability to diversify their sound. Zeppelin and many other great artists had a huge array of different genres throughout their albums. I see it as artistic license and musical talent

I hope so man. Lately these guys have been my favorite band. I've loved them for years but lately I find myself having them on all the time. Just don't like this sound. I've listened to Simon Dawes in the past and couldn't get into that either. With Blake Mills involved I don't think I'm going to like the sound of this CD. I hope I'm wrong.

I don't get why people think this lacks suitable social commentary to be "worthy" or not boring. This character is watching the scenes we're watching and he's cringing, too. "I saw my past life passed out...her handsome new flame I didn’t recognize his face too much ‘cept for the grimace on his mouth. He looked a lot like me, he seemed to be in pain...I could feel the morning breeze... “I think this party’s done” She asked if I could drive her home, and then she added please (Please). --
It's his former life, it's a painful horror, now it's a new morning, and his past asks him please get me out of here PLEASE--this from the one guy who seems sober enough to drive. Well, go ahead and savage the comment now, but this isn't all that bad or shallow of a song.

Others are saying it seems inconsistent with this bands usually more profound style. to the former I say this: Way to stay a super faithful Dawes fan. And to the latter I say: Hey These guys have continually pumped out music that has not only been prolific but also current. Let's let em have a break.
